'Miley Cyrus' on 'SNL': Pretty cool? [video] [poll]
Miley Cyrus is absolute sunshine, like, God's gift -- that according to Billy Ray Cyrus on "The Miley Cyrus Show" on "Saturday Night Live," where of course neither Cyrus actually appeared.
New "SNL" cast member Vanessa Bayer did her Miley to fellow newbie Paul Brittain's Johnny Depp, with guest host Bryan Cranston of "Breaking Bad" bringing the Billy Ray in a sketch that was alternately pretty cool, pretty creepy and pretty on the nose.
Musical guest Kanye West gave his "Power" performance a music video vibe, breaking with tradition with a white backdrop and many dancers, treating viewers tuning in mid-show to a moment of "Did I enter the right channel? Really?" (See that video after the break, below.)
In other "SNL" news, Fred Armisen, the soon-to-be-ex-husband of Elizabeth Moss, was spotted out on the town, making out periodically with fellow cast member Abby Elliot, according to the New York Post.
Again we ask, pretty cool?

Kanye was impressive. I especially liked the King Crimson samples.

This is a poor skit.
Miley Cyrus, unlike Vanessa Bayer, was actually hosting awards shows at age fifteen and pulling it off without sounding like a valley girl hick. The only part that resonates in Miley's tendency to talk fast.
This is not funny and not a good caricature.
