Regarding Bruno Tonioli, Michael Bolton can't stop digging

Bolton-dancing Michael Bolton, put down that shovel and stop digging!

In telling People he wasn't going to pressure "Dancing With the Stars" any further for an apology from mean, mean judge Bruno Tonioli (Hint: It's not gonna happen), the mega-selling singer and mega-lousy quick-stepper tagged on yet another proclamation:

"Bruno should search his soul for what he is doing on that show."

(Judging by how Bruno snarkily slapped his own wrist on camera when Michael chided him Tuesday about that "worst jive in 11 seasons" comment, we're pretty sure any soul searching that was going to happen already has happened.)

"I asked for it in one interview and I felt he should express a public apology to me," Bolton said. "I think asking once is enough, and I don't want my friends, fans and supporters to ask for it. It is what it is."

But hey, it's not about himself, really -- Bolton said again that he felt bad for his mom, who was in the audience Monday, and, well, he's afraid that after the way he was treated, other celebs who aren't great dancers might not sign up for "DWTS" at all.

"It's not realistic to expect people to expose themselves to that kind of negativity that doesn't have a positive encouragement message connected to it," said the singer, who also told the mag he knows it wasn't as if he and partner Chelsie Hightower were going to win or anything crazy like that.

Any bets that Michael grew up in one of those places where everyone on the soccer team got a trophy just for showing up?

Michael Bolton wasn't a great dancer but it was no reason to put him down; remember Billy Ray Cyrus! same thing! No reason to put him down. At least they are stars, not like Bristol Palin... I don't remember her doing a movie, TV show(not that reality crap) or singer. Ever seen the english version of that, Bruno is a different guy(they got another pit bull that thinks everybody sucks). Bruno thinks if you don't wear a skirt, you are not worth it. About that "situation" guy; is he suppose to be a super star...I don't think so.
Anyway if you are going to treat people over 50 like crap, then don't put them on the show. It's an entertainment show not a dance contest otherwise they would have all the time in the world to be ready for a dance. keep it fun and professional otherwise it's going to become another "American Idol".

Hey, it IS a dance competition and Bruno Tonioli is paid to judge. Michael Bolton stunk as a dancer and Bruno is paid to tell him so. Maybe Bolton thought he was wonderful; he's had a great singing career, so it may never have occurred to him that he might be a lousy dancer. It's Bruno's responsibility as a judge to tell him the truth, however harsh that is.

Whatever the case, it's over, and Bolton should just get over it and move on.

For the love of Pete - Bolton is looking like a whiny, thin skinned, little boy. Let it go. Bruno looked like a bully, and hopefully Bolton's children and family have the maturity to not be embarrassed for their father being bullied. Take the high road and drop it, everyone!!

No you are wrong he shouldn't have been so rude to Michael Bolton. He was probably brought up with values where toni Tonioli i hate to say it " a piece of trash" so he said it for shock value. Yes he should apologize to Michael, A lot of people watch that show, but maybe they won't so much anymore. Don't worry Michael we love you. A fan from Montreal, Canada

I agree with the guy who said "... if you are going to treat people over 50 like crap, then don't put them on the show. It's an entertainment show not a dance contest otherwise they would have all the time in the world to be ready for a dance. keep it fun and professional otherwise it's going to become another "American Idol". End of quote.

Further more: Do not treat ANYONE like crap, how about some good old manners in the way they address contestants everyone, not only the ones who have good dancing skills. When I watch the show, I turn the sound off as soon as the "judges" start opening their mouth. I don't care for what they have to say. Everyone I know says the same about the "judges"

I guess it is part of the "fashionable" meanness and unforgivenness that most of our society is being spread with by the media, poisoning millions who have put aside their ability to discern and use their common sense.

Congratulations to Michael Bolton for standing up for what he believes.

Bruno is rather offensive and downright grotesque at times, and I can understand how Bolton's mother would feel. He goes too far trying to be "humorous".

With that said, Bolton sucked and he needs to move on.

I agrees the judges are rude and making my favorite show hard to watch. I would like to see Bruno play football, ski down a slop, slap on a pair of skates etc. and see if those fancy dance steps of his appear. I so glad Michael said what so many people believe. Michael has a big heart and helps people he or no other should be talked to in that matter on national television. Yes, Bruno should apology not only to Michael but to DWS fans. Maybe it is time for him to make the move to Fox. He won't be missed.

He could not dance and had no rythm
Lets stop and go on

Hey, look at all the publicity Bolton got. He is a has been singer. Went on Dancing with the Stars, and now he will probably do a recording right away to enjoy the publicity he got. Americans are always for the underdog. So Bruno gave him the needed attention he needed. Look at Simon Cow from American Idol; all the money he made for being a brazen jerk. We are living in sick society today and it is getting worse.

Get Over IT Mike!.
The FACT s Are:
You Chose to participate:
You are NOT a good dancer.
Take your medicine like the rest of the NO Rhythm, participants that proceeded you and Move-on.
NEXT!

MICHAEL BOLTON IS TRULY A GENTLEMAN BY NOT ASKING BRUNO TO APPOLOGIZE ANY OME. MICHAEL YOU ARE TULY FROM THE OLD SCHOOL AND ARE STANDING ABOVE THE SITUATION. SOME PEOPLE LIKE BRUNO WILL NEVER FALL IN THE CATEGORY "A GENTLEAN" BECAUSE HE IS NOT ONE OF THEM. THIS MAN IS EXTREMELY ARROGANT AND LOUD. THE OTHER TWO JUDGES ARE AT TIMES ALSO VERY CRITICAL BUT STATE THEIR CRITICISM IN A POLITE MANNER WITHOUT VERBALLY ATTACKING BY BEING BY LETTING THE CONTESTANTS KNOW WHERE THEIR WEAKNESSES LIE WHICH IS TOTALLY FINE. I AM SURE MICHAEL THAT YOUR MOM WHO RAISED A GENTLEMAN WILL ALSO STAND ABOVE A PERSON LIKE BRUNO AND I WISH YOU ALL THE4 BEST FOR YOUR FUTURE ENDAVOURS. YOU ARE A TRUE GENTLEMAN.

Michael Bolton may not be talented as a dancer, but he was INVITED to participate on DWTS and deserved being treated with respect and integrity! I don't blame MIchael for being offended and hurt for the manner in which he was treated on national television! Who in the world would tune into to ANY program in which Bruno was on if he were 'the star?' Not one soul that I'm aware of! Bruno is no star! If it wasn't for real stars and appearing on this program no one would be watching! So, if DWTS want to continue they had better refrain from behavior that embarrasses and offends the stars that make the show worth watching in the first place! If I were a celebrity, especially one with limited dancing finesse and skill, I'd think twice ~ and then once more ~ and then say, "No Thank You!" to being a part of this show!

I must admit I do not watch this stupid show but with all the comments about this appearance I had to tune in. Bolton looked like a pile of bricks gone array. It seemed he just couldn't hear the beat.He danced with one arm while the other remained at his side, not even holding it out so he would look graceful. The judge was spot on.He is NOT owed an appology! Not by a long shot.

Bruno has said worse things about other stars and they haven't been a cry-baby about it. For example, the shopping cart remark about Kate Gossellin . I didn't realize Michael Bolton was such a big weinie. Bruno is a JUDGE and although like Len said, maybe he should keep some comments to himself, to whine about it is really childish. Michael, did you ever hear the comment about "the bigger man"? Well, be the bigger man and let it go. If you had shrugged it off in the first place you would have more people on your side and Bruno would really be vilified right now.

Does Bruno really believe that Bolton was worse than Kate Gosslein. That is just not possible.

Just saw Michael Bolton in concert and he was better than when he was younger, Saw him last Thursday and we all had a good laugh over his debut on Dancing With The Stars. He was very gracious when it came to Bruno but the audience had more fun taking jabs atBruno rather than at Michael. His voice is better than it ever was.......concert was fantastic.

Michael is a bad dancer and a bad singer. He is a loser on both counts. I don't know why he thinks he is so great that he deserves an apology.

Bruno- a little harsh.....Michael-a little to serious. It is over, so back to the show, which is fun and lively in a very stressful world we leave in!

In this day and age of rudeness, meanness, and vulgarity, Bruno may be just one more jerk with a big (and undeserved) ego and a big mouth, but Michael Bolton's correct .. nothing about appearing in a dance contest puts him in line for those sorts of bullying remarks, and I wish everyone would quit trying to justify them. I, for one, have stopped watching DWTS because of it, and I know others who have, too. We just got a lot more serenity in our lives, plus two nights a week back to do something pleasant. Who wants to watch some little wanna-be nobody verbally brutalize people? THIS is entertainment?? What kind???

When a celebrity agrees to appear on the show, they must accept the risk that they will be smartly smacked with criticism. They must be big enough to take it--big enough to know that even if they falter in dancing, they have been relatively successful in other areas of the entertainment world. This episode is an example of what we have become--overly sensitive, chip-on-our-shoulder complainers who are constantly demanding apologies. Negative comments cannot continue to haunt us unless we continue to dwell on them.

Mr. Bolton can not stand constructive critizim. Tell him to go back and watch his performance..he has no rthym and it showed in is dancing.. he is a wonderful singer but give up the dancing..he looked more like a robot than a man enjoying the dance performance.. Bruno I commend you for being honest. When they go on a show like that and are being judged by professional what do they want, a sugary coated oh you were wonderful..I am so sorry that this is being so dragged out by Michael.. Grow up and face it you are not a dancer.. stick to singing..

IT'S ALLLL PUBLICITY !!

Bruno was very rude to Michael Bolton. It was like he had something against him from the beginning. Michael never claimed to be a dancer and after only two dances he wasn't that good but he was not near as bad as Bruno claimed and he didn't have to be so creepy! Bruno is always saying something out of line or vulgar. I believe he should leave the show! He is down right scary. Michael wasn't very good but the things Bruno said and then giving him a 3 was wrong. They gave much woese dancers better scores. Even Len said Bruno was out of line!

Bruno was overly critical but Michael Bolton needs to let it go. He is making himself look bad and he really wasn't a very good dancer.

Bruno is a despicable guy. Mr Bolton is a celebrity as a singer and Bruno attitude is nothing professional . , without ethic. . My opinion about Bruno change totally. The entertainment is an entertainment , not a place where the Stars & Celebrities receive a bad and inappropriate judgment. .Bruno , you are wrong, totally wrong . Your attitude is despicable .
