Mariah Carey confirms she is pregnant
Is she or isn't she? Hey, this time Mariah Carey really is pregnant!
The singer confirmed the news in an interview with "Access Hollywood," part of which aired Thursday on the "Today" show. "Yes, we are pregnant, this is true," she said.
"It's been a long journey, but it's been tough because I've been trying to have ... to hold onto a shred of privacy. And that was not easy." Indeed, the public and media have been obsessed with the diva's reproductive status for years, but with publicity for a Christmas album on the way as well as an expanding middle, Carey, 40, decided it was time to go public.
Husband Nick Cannon joined the interview in progress to add his thoughts.
"Uh, it's absolutely emotional, but first, so many reasons, I mean obviously the greatest gift on Earth is a child," the "America's Got Talent" host, 30, told Billy Bush. "But ... you know how much we have been through, you know."
Wait, what? No, Nick, actually we don't ...
At that point, together they revealed that early in their marriage she'd suffered a miscarriage -- a sad event she had to hide publicly and cry herself to sleep over in private.
And when's the baby due? "It's still early ... ," she said. "Expecting in the spring, let's say that."
The full three-part interview will air on "Access Hollywood" Thursday through Saturday.

Last concert I saw her in on cable, I thought she looked like Aretha! I could not believe how large she had gotten. Now, I'm not putting her down, I mean, most women have battled with their weight. But most women don't have the resources available to them that Mariah and other celebrity women do. Given that, I just don't see why she hasn't lost the weight. And now with becoming pregnant, she will only become larger and it will be more difficult for her to lose all that weight.

She's only a few weeks pregnant? And she is announcing it? Umm, why? I thought she was supersticious? And also, why is she enourmous and she is only two weeks pregnant. PUBLICITY STUNT for her new album. How lame is that!??
