We can’t imagine Warren Buffett turning out for the premiere of, say, ‘Beverly Hills Chihuahua.’ But ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ managed to lure the billionaire investor out of Omaha and onto the red carpet for the Oliver Stone film’s’ New York premiere Monday night.
When Gordon Gekko speaks, people listen?
Cast members making the scene at the Ziegfeld Theatre included Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan, Susan Sarandon, Frank Langella, Josh Brolin, Eli Wallach and Michael Douglas, who brought wife Catherine Zeta-Jones. An after-party followed at Manhattan’s Cipriani 42nd Street.
The event’s New York brand was enhanced by the presence of locals Barbara Walters, ‘Inside the Actors Studio’ host James Lipton, director Spike Lee and CBS Chief Executive Les Moonves with wife Julie Chen of ‘The Early Show.’ Also spotted Monday night: Tyra Banks, Courtney Love and Brett Ratner.
