Spencer Pratt apologizes to Heidi Montag (through a magazine, natch)

Spencer-pratt-divorce-sorry In precisely the kind of come-to-Jesus moment any girl would die to have with an ex, Spencer Pratt has stepped forward to take full accountability for the shenanigans that ended his marriage with Heidi Montag.

Stepped forward to People magazine that is.

"Divorce can be a trying, draining, and emotionally devastating experience for all involved," Pratt says in a new interview.

"Despite these hardships, most individuals manage to conduct themselves with dignity and maturity. I did not –- I failed spectacularly."

We've come to expect nothing less from Mr. Photo Op than this type of candid revelation made to a national publication. The bleeding heart in us hopes he writes her a note too. We'd even settle for a skywriter.

"I horribly embarrassed the one person that meant the world to me. For my outrageous and infantile behavior, I offer Heidi my most sincere apologies," Pratt said.

Montag's response coming soon to a newsstand near you.

Just another chapter in the on-going publicity stunt that is the Spencer Pratt/Heidi Montag soap opera. If it wasn't intended as a publicity stunt, Pratt would have done it to Heidi's face in private, or at the very least in a personal phone call.

They both need to apologize . . . to the PUBLIC!

No apology to the public needed. the American Public needs to get a life of thier own and stop watching & reading the crapola!
If all the overweight, unghappy, gossipmongongers did not read, watch and buy the stuff. there would be no Heidi\Spencer.

Watch or read a documentary about someone whom actually did spomething noble or interesting. Not the Housewives of Bev Hills !

Oh, come on. It's an apology, and why not a public one? Their whole relationship has been lived out in public. If it's so egregiously opportunistic, aren't you just as egregiously opportunistic for covering it here?
