Snooki lands a book deal, is 'pumped' for you to read her novel [poll]

Remind us to buy our books staff a stiff drink -- Snooki is about to become an author.

Indeed, Nicole Polizzi, the pint-sized firecracker of "Jersey Shore," announced she's penning her first novel, slated for release in January by Simon and Schuster's Gallery Books.

"I’m pumped to announce to my fans a project that I’ve been working on for some time,” Snooki said in a release.

The novel, reportedly titled "A Shore Thing," will revolve around "girl looking for love on the boardwalk (one full of big hair, dark tans, and fights galore)."

Jonathan Franzen, watch your back. The New York Times' Cathy Horyn noted in one July interview that Polizzi said she'd only ever read two books: Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" and Nicholas Sparks' "Dear John."

I assume this will be some sort of coloring book. It should be called, "Human Garbage: A Ditz's Tale."

When I think of how hard I worked to write my mystery series, the research I've done, the people I've interviewed, I want to scream when I see another ditzy celebrity with a book. Maybe I've been going at this all wrong. I've been using my brains.

Snooki is not my idea of what an author is! Nor is she any where near the definition of a "Lady". The real question is...How many more photos of her in "dresses" that look more like sausage casings are we to endure? Excuse me while I step away to vomit.
