Paris Hilton and that problematic purse [poll]
Paris Hilton reportedly told friends Saturday that the purse she was toting during her arrest the night before belonged to a friend. On Monday, her story allegedly shifted: Paris' purse, yes; Paris' cocaine, no. Heck, even if it had been gum, it wasn't hers.
But a Twitpic the heiress posted in July would seem to suggest the Chanel bag -- seen in paparazzi pictures of the Las Vegas traffic stop that resulted in Hilton's arrests on a felony drug possession charge -- indeed belonged to her.
The likely ruling-out of the "not mine" explanation seems to bring us back to the more sophisticated "I didn't notice the leftover packet of powdery white stuff in the bag when I jammed my big wad of cash into it" argument. Who knows? It's a pretty huge purse, with lots of room for losing things.
Is it just us, or is that illegal search defense looking better and better?

Look, who wouldn't lie about a purse to avoid prison?
And why do we send people to prison just for getting high on the wrong substance?
Like alcohol doesn't kill people. Hah.

personally i think paris is far to sweet & trusting around her so called friends,
she probably did borrow the bag like one of many, but yes paris should of checked it first, incase some one is setting her up for trouble.

Look. No one has coke in their purse if they don't do it. Simple as that. And if somehow that stories true & her friend does it & she borrowed it she DEFINTELY does it. What kind of non-cokehead hangs out w. people that do coke so much they keep in their purse w/out doing it themselves? yeah duh shes tryna get out of jailtime. No ones buying it unless she pays them literally.

Oh gee where will Paris stay when she is is Las Vegas, Oh thats right the Hilton, and for Steve Wynn to fire the boyfriend, before he has gone to court or been convicted of any thing is just unfair, oh wait this is a casino and I'd bet no one has ever said a casino was unfair.

I guess the drug fairy is equal opportunity and does not visit just street junkies who all claim the same thing when they get caught..its not mine, or I dont know where it came from. Why cant I find a bag of weed in my car if I get pulled over? So not fair.

iwould arrest the purse and put the purse away for years because the purse had cocaine in it and as Paris said,,everything in the purse was hers except the coke and I do believe her for Paris definitely doesnt use drugs and is a roll model to our youth of today for her clean living and contribution to all humanity...cough cough

Bleh, all recreational drugs should be decriminalized anyway. Of course, if this were a black person off the street they would already be under the jail serving 10+ years...

Someday Paris Hilton will be as popular as Zsa Zsa Gabor. She isn't there yet, she still needs to marry and divorce a whole bunch, and she needs to start saying "Dahling" a lot, but she is definately headed in the right direction.
Maybe a remake of the television series "Green Acres" is in order. She could co-star along side Eddie Albert's son?

Her chances of totally getting away with this - or of suffering minimal consequences - are very good. Why? Lot's of money. Poor people end up going to jail for lesser offenses. This is erroneously called "justice."

oh and paris should be a clown cause her big feet would fit perfectly in big red clown shoes

don't worry Paris... if you get 4 years and they apply the Lindsay Lohan rules of math....you will only really serve 6 days.... after all they do know WHO you are and how MUCH MONEY you have......

You guys are so harsh! Its not her fault that she was born a billionaire with a carefree lifestyle of drugs and partying. What do you want her to do? Grow up and make responsible decisions and...gasp...actually make any positive changes in the world? Now THATS just totally ridiculous. How will she ever have time to go clubbing every night then? You guys just dont understand anything....( I'm pretty sure in her mind this is how the logical argument forms). You cant fix stupid.

What right does the government of a "free country" have to tell adults what substance they can or cannot ingest?
Should our minds and bodies be off limits to ourselves?
Or does only the alcohol and pharmaceutical industry have the right to be legal because of their money?

I love Mark Shapiros comment, too funny. I will take custody of the Chanel purse worth maybe about (6,000.00) and keep it safe from any further drug use.

Well of course it was hers, but I don't think she's a coke head just in vegas gotta stay up doing all that partying a little coke helps out. Just let her go who cares.

DeeDee and I think the same on this issue..I agree that DeeDee be given the purse for safe holding for then Im sure the purse wont get into any more trouble...

Thank you Mark Shapiro for the second opinion on the Chanel purse, is there a matching wallet involved?

So sad...My 9 year old sad she was ugly..Drugs make you bad and ugly

I don't think I've ever borrowed a purse, I simply buy them as I need.
Still, I think all women who change purses regularly have no problem remembering to clear them out before selecting another.
