Report: Immigation officials stop Paris Hilton in Japan

What happens in Vegas doesn't necessarily stay in Vegas, apparently, if what happened was a drug conviction.

Paris Hilton hopped on a jet and headed for Asia on Monday after entering guilty pleas in her Las Vegas cocaine arrest -- but she hasn't gotten as far as she had intended.

Upon arrival at an airport in Japan, Hilton was detained by immigration officials for questioning about her drug conviction, TMZ reports; she was reportedly allowed to stay at an airport hotel until the situation is resolved.

The heiress planned to stop in Tokyo on Wednesday; travel to Jakarta, Indonesia, on Friday for a store opening; and wrap up her trip in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, People reports. Why leave ...

... the country so soon after sentencing? "Paris was contractually bound to her business trip and didn't want to let down her brands and many Asian fans," her rep told TMZ.

Similarly, Chris Brown's assault conviction interfered with his international business in June when he was denied a visa to enter Britain. A concert tour was canceled as a result.

What are you doing Paris? Have you just gone crazy?

Good! Hope she is put back on the next plane to the USA!

Consequences. Your parents didn't bother teaching you about them, so maybe Japan will.

Japan is a country with people like a robot and one of most expensive place to visit in the world. I don't know why anybody with right mind want to visit that country.

I understand their concern, but we must really get our gloves off and fight this. We are talking jobs. Like it or not she is a very popular brand abroad and we need every single cent which can get in by export. Also the money we can earn by showing her off abroad.

We can always activate Exclusive Order 9066 if they insist to cause our export business trouble. That would teach them a lesson.

Boring old War on Drugs.

What has it really accomplished?

Google "Mexico" and see.

Paris is still a bad girl. If you play, you gotta pay

think you're getting through to her Pamela?

And was she REALLY playing with her hair extensions in court...?

Class act all the way.

She is a total waste of oxygen. Now if the US would just refuse her re-entry...
