Wynn bans Paris Hilton from resorts, fires Cy Waits [poll]
Paris Hilton is no longer welcome at the Wynn or Encore resorts, a Wynn spokeswoman said Tuesday, and the socialite's nightclub-entrepreneur boyfriend Cy Waits has been ditched as a managing partner at the properties' Tryst and XS nightclubs.
This comes in the wake of their arrests Friday on the Las Vegas Strip -- Waits on suspicion of DUI and Hilton on suspicion of cocaine possession, a low-grade felony. The two were en route to his home in Henderson, Nev., after partying at XS, and Hilton asked to use the restroom at the nearby Wynn after they were pulled over. It was near Wynn security that a police officer saw 0.8 gram of coke fall from her purse, according to the police report.
Hilton was released on her own recognizance and is due in court Oct. 27, facing the judge who ...
An arrest report released Wednesday said Waits failed field sobriety tests, and police found the end of a joint in the SUV he'd been driving.
Are we safe in assuming that chief exec Steve Wynn, he of the nearly billion-dollar divorce, simply doesn't need this kind of hassle?

Get caught up on the Paris Hilton news so far -- knives, guns, drugs, cops. It's all good.

That's about the most serious punishment I've seen these yellow-colored bimbo druggies get.

I couldn't think of two people (for lack of more appropriate term) that deserve
this and worse!! I would hope that the judge has the capacity to dig deep and set precedence in his sentence(s).

Las Vegas has always had a "zero tolerance" position toward drugs, but I just thought that was because they're in the business of selling booze. I may find Paris Hilton (oh yeah, profanity free) a bimbette, but this reeks of overkill.

It's once again coming as a surprise to people that Nevada/Clark County/Vegas are *not* the "anything goes" destination that TV/movies/media portray them. Prostitution is ILLEGAL in Vegas, you have to go to another county for that, but you sure wouldn't know it from watching TV crime shows. Marijuana use and possession are punished SEVERELY -- ranging up to 20 years and life sentences. I'm hoping this little dingbat gets prison time for his arrogance.

Paris Hilton should have taken up prison minister, Marty Angelo's offer back in 2007 to go into a faith-based treatment program. None of this would have happened to her if she was transformed by Jesus Christ in that program. She would not even have a desire to be around coke or those party place because God would have taken all of that away. Instead, now look at her. Back to square one... facing more jail/prison time. When will this girl ever learn that there is more to life than party .. .party ... party. A price is paid eventually.

Let's do drugs, and not have any life consequences, yeah! Lock up this hooker and throw away the key. Make a judicial example out of her so that these ding-dong hollywood types will stop acting like they are above the law.

The more you know about them the more you dislike them. There are only few people in this world the more you about them the more you love them, I.e. Mother teresa, madam curie.....

Well you know the old adage: "Whatever happens in Vegas gets a trial in Vegas."

Its bad pr to have a well known person such as her arrested for possession at your place of biz. Scares away potential revenue. Give it a year and a pile of money in a shoebox given to the right people and she will be allowed to go in.

I think this is a near brilliant move by Wynn to get free publicity but I'd look for an apology from him down the road, after the "trial" (aka dog and pony show) when this story needs reviving. Would it help y'all to understand what Wynn is doing if the above story included modeled pictures of the facilities available at his resorts along w/prices and a click through to their online reservation system?

I see Paris on interviews and I see a perfectly mannered, polite individual. Why wouldn't she be. I think after 3-4 generations of great wealth. A Hilton would/should have class. I also see a young beautiful lady who was VICIOUSLY betrayed at a terribly young age by her then steady boyfriend bug. He sold their PRIVATE relationship on tape. So what's wrong with Paris? A little self-destructive? Why don't we all jump on the band-wagon. That's what you get for dating way beneath you Paris.
Now go act appropriately won't you. You're of privelege aren't you? Give swine below you a chance and see what you get. Isn't everyone questioning why your not acting at your class level. Aren't you a role model because of your status?

This is why in society today we have all this BS.....People don't take repsonsibility for their actions wether it's because of money or who you are that got u out of it and that's the problem..Tuff love people u are creating spoiled monsters out here by not enforcing the consequences of their own actions..... Nip it in the butt from the begining and so much can be avoided...

The fact of the matter is drugs are NOT legalized as of yet. Therefore, all of these over indulged, talentless hacks such as Paris Hilton and Kardashian girls should and NEED to obey the law just like all the rest of society!
This skank needs to be taken down a notch or two. She smirks and thumbs her nose at the authorities and continues to behave with that air of self entitlement! It is just mind boggling that we even discuss these inferior spawn!
Alas, I had to weigh in on this vacuous bimbo who constantly rules the rag tabloids

Steve Wynn is the man. He built the new Vegas. If he bans you your screwed in Las Vegas. These stupid kids take everything for granted. Money comes so easy for them.

Seriously TXSwinger?
I didn't realize what a social impact it could have - until now.

I have known Cy for many years and watched him work his ass off day and night to get to where he is at today. The Waits brothers are the most honest and hard working people in Vegas. I think he just got lured in by that piece of trash Paris. Nobody gets to the position that Cy held by being an lazy dirt bag. Good luck Cy we are behind you 100%.

He is not the most honest if he is doing drugs. Drugs are illegal if you take them you are being dishonest.

Lunacy upon lunacy. Society says it's fine for people to destroy themselves with gambling and alcoholism, but is "tough on drugs". What is alcohol? (Only the most destructive substance on the planet). I'm not saying anyone's right here, but our society is insane. I really don't care about this situation, but the topic it raises is interesting. Legality is the "Bible". Morality is irrelevant as long as it's "legal".

If Wynn bans everyone that has a dui or coke on them ... his places will be empty.
