Report: Lindsay Lohan's probation revoked, warrant issued

Lilo-repeat-mug

Lindsay Lohan's probation has been revoked and a bench warrant has been issued for her arrest by Judge Elden Fox, The Times' L.A. Now blog reports.

Lohan has been ordered to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Friday, according to TMZ, and the warrant will be held until then, the site says.

News broke Friday that Lohan had allegedly failed two random drug tests ordered as part of her probation; later that day, the actress posted a mea culpa on Twitter, saying in part, "If I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result."

She's on probation after serving time in jail and rehab for violating an earlier probation related to two DUI incidents in 2007.

Over the weekend in L.A., Lohan was photographed leaving two Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

(And yes, we do see the irony re "anonymous.")

By God, pick her up on her VOP, and sit her pretty little a$$ in jail, until her hearing Friday.
but, nooooooo. it's the land of fruits and nuts, who can celeb their way out of justice.

way to go! California Justice rules!!!!

sickening ,once again justice is bought by the rich. any average person facing same situation would have been picked and wearing an orange jumpsuit. its time america to stop this. justice should be equal to all not those with cash!!

Lindsy Lohan;

What a waste of an individual. This Idiot had it made and decided to throw it all down the toilet. There are very few who ever get the opportunity to get as far in life as she has. She decides to use drugs and set such a poor example for our young. Why is she not treated the same as all other druggies? She should have been put away for at least a year.
One law for the rich another for the poor. It's disgraceful that America acts this way, while trying to pretend to the world that America has better standards for all. There the same as third world countries where you can buy your way in and out of anything. So low are the judges setting the bar. whats next? This judge should be removed from office.
The media should also stop publicizing her behavior as it gives her free coverage. Just lock her up and show our kids that this behavior will not be tolerated.
Wake up America.

@Ken Flecknell: "The media should also stop publicizing her behavior as it gives her free coverage" I too have said this in the past and not just about this waste of space.

It is very wrong that there are rules and laws for one set of the population and another for the rest. This moron should be in an orange jump suit.

Maybe she could have passed the test if someone had passed her the answers.

kelly major: What is a "VOP"?

Hi People, I am actually from Holland and my wife is American. I am surprised that a country with so much potential of that of Americas's is so corrupted (Class Justice is a fact) How can all the regular people allow this to happen. I mean if a regular John doe does such thing they would have been in Jail already, and for a longer term than Mr. Lohan, and Hilton (also another good example) ever did. Why people, why do we allow the law to make such rulings?

It is unfair, and inhuman. It shouldn't matter in what class you live, what color you are and how much money you make. The ruling should be the same for anyone, and not always find holes in the probable cause...

I suggest that we all jump in and do and say something about it. If we truly want to make a difference we should do something about it. And not just say something about it on polls etc.

I mean no offense, the rich wouldn't be rich if the average john would stop paying for their services. Or would simply consume less.

I like America a lot, but I notice the same here in Europe, money rules. And if we don't watch out in time only the high class will be able to do whatever they want while the average people are most likely to become surpressed.

I mean I think the legal system should just be changed. Just as the social system like health care and pension related.

We need to help eachother out, too bad some are so darn selfish that they only help themselves.

Like the Beatles once wrote: "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make!

So people correct the governments that are so corrupted, correct the role model figures in this world if they do something wrong by giving them the same judge rulings like anyone else.

Only then the people will regain trustin the justice/legal system of America.

If you think I am a loser, I have a good job as an accountant here in Holland.

It is just I don't need that big house and a fat BMW to be happy. I am only happy if the people around me are happy.

We have to do it all together in this world. So don't be afraid, lend a hand once in a while, and you will see that it will all benefit eachother in time. And when needed someone else will return the favour. I love the American saying: "What goes around comes around.

The reason why I live in Holland, is because in 2006 I got knocked of my motorcycle by an illegal immigrant in Porterville, CA. It ruined my college possibility at some UC's and maybe even minor league baseball. I broke my leg and hip, and had the luck that my fuel didn't catch fire, and that I wasn't hit by an approaching vehicle.

Now four years later I am almost recoperated after having had 9 surgeries. I play ball again, but am in debt still for € 10k because that illegal immigrant had no insurance and no license.

The police of Porterville never arrested the guy, and I was screwed. I could have went to court, but figured it ws not possible to sue since he had no money anyway.

I am still ok, I am alive, just wish I could pay it off sooner and be with my wife. Sometimes I wish somebody could help me out, and give me back some scurity. But then each day I just think there are so many more people out there that live under worse conditions than I do, so why make it such big deal.

If we were all just happy with what we have than the world wouldn't be so corrupt.

Back on topic (sorry moderator) I think deep down inside, Ms. Lohan is not a bad person. I just think that depression and lack of love causes her decision making. People that don't care anymore often make such decisions. Trust me I have been there. The truth is though that people need to break out of these habits, and they can't do that with only going to a few AA meetings etc. Also the people around you need to make the difference. They truly have to be true friends in order to help the person. To make them go to these things and to help them to stop consumption of substances etc.

mean if you do something that is illegal and you get caught you need to pay the price like anyone else does. I just think that the judge needs to be harder in the decision making for Lohan to clean up her act.

Well thats it. Sorrt for the long message everyone.

Regards from Holland.

Please someone answer this question, doesn't the Probation Department (the officer) have the authority to arrest this person without a arrest Warrant? In most states Probation Officers have arrest authority for Probable Cause...

For those of you who wonder why celebrities don't get the same treatment as the common man, just look at the hundreds of fans who line up the outside of the courtroom and the jail facility, cheering for Lohan's freedom.

How many hundreds of people waited outside the jail facility to cheer for the release of Paris Hilton?

Some citizens do want these celebrities to remain on a pedestal, and they do want them to be treated in a special way.
