The voices behind the owls showed up for a pre-party and the premiere of ‘Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole’ at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday — and because it’s hard to resist animated animals in a tale of good versus evil, the likes of Vanessa Hudgens and Russell Brand made the scene as well.

Cast members walking the red carpet included Anthony LaPaglia, Ryan Kwanten of ‘True Blood,’ Sam Neill, Angus Sampson, Jim Sturgess, David Wenham of ‘300’ and Leigh Whannell of ‘Saw.’

(Geoffrey Rush gets a pass — he was just up at the Toronto International Film Festival, where ‘The King’s Speech,’ in which he costars, took home the People’s Choice Award on Sunday.)
