Celebs hit Fashion’s Night Out in Los Angeles, New York

For Friday’s Fashion’s Night Out, luxury brands and the style-savvy banded together for a second year to generate interest in shopping in the midst of a recession.

In Los Angeles, Josh Duhamel‘s main lady Fergie made an appearance at outdoor retail haven the Grove to sign autographs for fans purchasing her latest shoe collection. Over on Rodeo Drive, an embarrassment of high-end stores opened their doors for presentations.

Armani saw actor Samuel L. Jackson giving a retrospect on his red carpet looks through the years, moderated by television style guy Steven Cojocaru. Rodeo’s Bebe flagship made the most of its Kardashian collection.

Our sister blog All the Rage spotted six Kim, Kourtney and Khloe lookalikes out front of the shop, in asymmetrical dresses and dramatic curls. Over on Robertson Boulevard, Intermix boutique hosted a British Invasion bash with a performance from the band Deluka and saw attendees including Kelly Osbourne and Mena Suvari.

Skipping over to New York City, the Fifth Avenue Armani flagship gave a hefty incentive for folks to turn up and spend -- supermodel Bar Refaeli was on hand to pose for photos with shoppers.

A little farther along on Fifth, Mary J. Blige toasted at the Gucci boutique with in-the-flesh Kardashians Kim and Kourtney, as well as rappers Fabolous and The-Dream.

At Calvin Klein’s Madison Avenue store, collection designers Francisco Costa and ...

... Italo Zucchelli and Vogue’s Tonne Goodman hosted celebs like Cynthia Nixon, Kerry Washington and ‘Twilight’s’ Xavier Samuels for a special performance from singer Bryan Adams. Down on Bleecker Street, online fashion store ASOS celebrated its U.S. arrival with a dinner and presentation with Teen Vogue. Model Chanel Iman and ‘Gossip Girl’ actress Jessica Szhor stopped by.
