Angelina Jolie visits Pakistan flood victims
Angelina Jolie visited northwestern Pakistan on Tuesday, visiting with flood victims, Afghan refugees and aid workers in her role as a U.N. goodwill ambassador, the Voice of America reports. The U.N. is aiming to provide $460 million in aid, but has received only a third of that amount.
Devastating monsoon-season flooding in that country has killed approximately 1,700 people and affected an additional 17 million, according to the BBC. Some estimates put the number of people affected even higher, up to 21 million.
Jolie called the situation "extraordinarily complex," noting that effects of the flooding were complicated by the presence for years of refugees displaced from Afghanistan.

Way to go Angelina....you show true grit out of Hollywood by caring more about your fellow human beings than your hairstyle...thanks for your consideration and you will always be a hero.

I wasn't an Angie fan. But i admit that watching her helping people that the rest of the world ignores, gives me the goosebumps. She is such a nice person. Among all the rich celebrities, how many of them is as thoughtful and helpful as her? She might have a darker past but I think she has a big heart.

I love her for doing this! And in Pakistan you don't have to cover your hair or wear a hijab, so that black scarf she's wearing is not necessary.

So did she write a big, fat check? Pay for paved roads, new hospitals, and a fresh water system? Invite these poor people to move into her $40 million Italian villa? Didn't think so!
No, Ali K Khan, what Jolie does is not called "humanity", it's called "shameless PR whoring"! True concern for the less-fortunate is done when there are no staged photo-ops and hordes of cameramen clobbering each other to try to get your good side!

I'm amazed how shallow and critical some people are whenever Angelina does a good deed...Many others benefit from her charitable organizations, and can you name on one hand all the other so-called celebrities who donate time and money for any relief fund????

I certainly admire her for using her celebrity to draw the world's attention to the plight of those poor people ( when did J.Aniston ever step out of her comfort zone?)
BTW if you notice all the other women in the photos have their heads covered, you so do need to behave like the locals if you want to be taken seriously . the person who says you don't need to wear a scarf obviously hasn't been to Pakistan lately

I know that Angelina Jolie is an angel by all her good deeds, if we could all follow her example. I am. Keep up the good deeds, Angelina. From one Angel to another... I remember you and your family in our prayers.
