Tila Tequila attacked during late-night rap performance

Tila Tequila was pelted with rocks and bottles in the wee hours Saturday, then chased off stage at a music festival in Illinois by a mob who allegedly surrounded her trailer, rocking it and breaking windows, a witness and a sheriff told CNN. She said on Twitter that she planned to sue organizers of the event.

"Pretty soon the owners who run the Juggalos will be bankrupt," she tweeted Saturday afternoon. "My attorney Alan is already on it. This is disgusting behavior from men."

[Reports: Tila Tequila attack wasn't exactly spontaneous]

Tequila's set was scheduled for 2:30 a.m. Saturday, with events on the Aug. 13 "day" of the festival having started as early as 10 a.m. Friday, according to a Gathering of the Juggalos schedule on the Insane Clown Posse website. Tom Green had a set starting at 2 a.m., with Lil Kim inked for around 3:30 a.m.

Ahead of the show, the reality-TV-personality-turned-rapper now going by "Miss Tila" expressed her excitement on Twitter: "Lil Kim also performing tonight!! Woohoo! This is gonna be so fun!! I bought a TON of cool [stuff] that imma spray at the crowd!!! Lol!"

After the show, not so much: "[V]iolence against women like myself or anyone for that matter is not ok! Lawsuit is pending."

On TMZ on Saturday, Tila went into graphic detail about the incident. She told the site she'd gone to the hospital in L.A. Saturday night for stitches.

The annual Gathering of the Juggalos is organized for fans of the band Insane Clown Posse and featuring other acts from the Psychopathic Records label; the local sheriff, who was on site already responding to a stabbing report, told TMZ it's a "nightmare" event staged in a location where no entertainment permits are required. Tila complained to the sheriff that balloons and bottles of urine had been thrown at her, along with feces from the portable toilets. We wonder if those bottles might've been full of Faygo?

For those who've not yet seen Tila perform, we present this live, in-studio performance she gave on KTLA in May. Seriously. You can't not look at it.

Her performance is so sad, it's like watching roadkill squirm. I guess humiliating herself comes easy to her, she actually seems to enjoy it. I'm no fan of ICP, but I know of them, and I'd be pretty boo-boo too if people thought our music was bad enough to be displayed alongside hers.

There are celebrities that get their 15 minutes of fame, and are forgotten. Tila would've been one, however... How could we forget something so hilariously sad? She'll be the ongoing joke we tell our grandchildren. I just hope we can get that sad excuse for performance/music out of our heads by then.

I'm sorry but what was she thinking appearing at that festival? Did she have any clue who she was playing for in that crowd? Sheer ignorance.

I am glad she got what she deserved! She is cute with no TALENT so why not throw stuff at her!!! I love it!

As Frank Zappa famously said, "Most people wouldn't know music if it bit them on the ass." With the likes of Lady Gaga leading the way, the hideous sounds currently posing as music present no challenge to any aspiring pop singer. It's not talent but panache and marketing that mean success, and Miss Tila, equal to any of today's pop female singers, eventually will find her niche with proper management and marketing.

Regardless of personal feelings towards this young girl, nobody has the right to physically abuse her.

Maybe this will make her realize that she will not get the respect or admiration she needs from the public. She's laughable at best.

Boy do you speak the truth, James Jackson. Marginal "talents" like Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Lady Gag are products of slick management, image-making and marketing. In a few years, no one will remember any of them. Bieber will have grown out of this "cute" stage, his voice will have matured to the point of unrecognizable and his fans will have moved on.

Cyrus will probably be another Lindsay Lohan before she's 25, in and out of rehab, court and jail, and her faithful will also have moved on.

Lady Gag (I know how it's spelled, I spell it like that because she provokes a lot of people's gag reflex) is a freak who uses outrageous costumes and insane staging to distract from the fact that she has almost no talent.

Tila is just another of these marketing-driven pseudo-celebs whose hot looks and bod have created a career where there plainly shouldn't have been. As far as I know, she does not sing, dance, act or tell jokes. She is strictly a product of a slam-bang management machine.

Totally agree with you Tee. It doesn't matter what her talent level is, violence against anyone especially women and children is a NO NO. It is the height of cowardice to attack an innocent unarmed woman no matter how repulsive she might be. Shame on the men who attacked her, I hope they can be tracked down and charged.

It's wrong that she was attacked physically. I'm just surprised that her notoriety has lasted this long. Her only talent is for self-promotion, and I thought the public had already tired of her. Really, the only stage I expect to see her on would have a tip rail.
