Considering a film cast to be a sort of family, there was plenty of love at ‘The Switch’ premiere in Hollywood on Monday night. Just ask Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Juliette Lewis and Patrick Wilson.

The comedy’s four stars followed up their red carpet appearances at the Arclight Hollywood -- click on the pic at right to launch a photo gallery from the carpet -- with some intimate elbow-rubbing at the W Hotel’s Delphine restaurant.

Aniston invited along her good gal pal Kathy Najimy, whom she embraced and introduced around to filmmakers, as well as her hair guru Chris McMillan. Bateman stuck close to his camp, while Wilson chatted close with pals such as Scott Foley.

Though Aniston wasn’t short on friends, Lewis opened up about being her confidante onscreen.

‘Playing Jennifer’s best friend was the easiest thing in the world. She’s inviting, and as lovely as you’d think or expect,’ said the actress and singer, who sported a sweet Dolce & Gabbana dress, plus neon blue hair, thanks to her current rock tour.

Lewis also touched on a recent interview in which she was asked about her and Jen’s mutual ex, Brad Pitt.

‘It’s annoying [because] it’s such an obvious question,’ she said. ‘But I wanted to work with Jennifer because she’s a great soul, and that’s that.’

And as far as Pitt is concerned?

‘There’s no story to tell you.’

The fictional tale of ‘The Switch’ is about Bateman’s character, Wally, a ne’er-do-well stock analyst who is ambivalent about Aniston’s Kassie, a TV producer who is over waiting for Mr. Right and desires a Mr. Turkey Baster. A few drinks, some herbal supplements and boom -- Wally is the accidental sperm donor to an in-the-dark Kassie.

‘Jason is a parent,’ Wilson noted of costar Bateman and how he related to his scripted son, Thomas Robinson, ‘and Jennifer was natural as a mother.’

The adorable Robinson, all of 6 in the film, faded just as the party got underway.

‘He’s exhausted,’ Wilson said. ‘It’s past his bedtime.’

Clearly family takes care of its own.
