Robin Wright and Sean Penn officially divorced [poll]
Robin Wright and Sean Penn are officially divorced, with papers filed July 22 that finalize the split and its privately negotiated terms, People reports.
The off-again, on-again divorce proceedings began in 2007, with a couple of temporary reconciliations along the way. Wright and Penn had been involved since 1989, having daughter Dylan in 1991 and son Hopper in 1993, and finally getting married in 1996.
Penn spoke of his single-man plans in Vanity Fair recently: "I was for 20 years in a relationship with Robin and 18 years with children. I didn’t have time to commit to anything -- for real -- in places like Iraq, except to denounce the war. But now I’m single. I can lend a hand."

Oh, Sean, you're absolutely right. What kind of a commitment can a person possibly make to a wife and children? Putting some of my snark aside, I do think Sean is embarked on a good second act, and he has the tools to make an important difference. WIshing him the best, and Robin double that.

It's a crying shame Robin and Forrest couldn't have lasted long than they did.

Of course, men are always to blame when a marriage ends, right??? No one knows about their private lives but them! The media will hype anything they can but the truth is, these two are both very talented people and they gotta do what they gotta do!! I applaud Sean Penn for so passionately speaking his mind about what's happening in the world-whether you agree with him or not, he is a force to be reckoned with!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who cares what actors think? They are here to entertain. Not be a spokesperson, with a heretofore knowledge of domestic and world events that gives them some type of insight better than professional Foreign Service Officers,
inter alia. So drop the noise about actors being given some type of political insight, unless they have held some form of political office and instead just want to come out of the stands and into the game.
