Lindsay Lohan's big focus: Getting through 'trauma' caused by her dad
Let the Lindsay Lohan comeback begin.
"I think my biggest focus for myself is learning how to continue to get through the trauma that my father has caused in my life," Lohan said, speaking with Vanity Fair in a well-adised move just before beginning her prison sentence, paving the way for a glossy October cover.
"The worst part of it is you turn around and you see your dad crying and normally you’d be, like, happy that your father’s there," Lohan said of dad Michael Lohan's presence at her court hearings, "but then he has to go and do an interview right after."
The actress also discusses her alleged addictions.
"If I were the alcoholic everyone says I am, then putting a [SCRAM] bracelet on would have ended me up in detox, in the emergency room, because I would have had to come down from all the things that people say I'm taking and my father says I’m taking — so that says something, because I was fine," she said.
Though her body may be toxin-free, the viability of her career remains in question.
"I don’t care what anyone says. I know that I’m a damn good actress. … And I know that in my past I was young and irresponsible — but that’s what growing up is. You learn from your mistakes,” she said.
Stay tuned for that one.

Honestly everyone needs to give Lindsey a break. Forced into acting as a child, famous by 13, can NEVER EVER live a normal life. Maybe drugs are the only break? We act like she's trash but that's because it is way easier for us than her.

keep blaming others Linds...
After all, that's what your mom has been doing instead of raising you correctly.

What exactly is "easier for us" Pauly??? Speak for yourself.
Lindsay deserves another chance, just as everyone does. Whatever Lindsay does is on her - not her parents.

the problem is that the sycophants in her circle leeched off of her success ultimately derailing her career.
If they had her best interests at heart and did not harbor their own Hollywood ambitions, she wouldn't have ended up such a mess.

Agreed, at this point Lindsay needs to take full responsibility for her actions. We get to a point when we have to stop blaming our parents and move forward.
Michael Lohan appears to be an awful parent, get over it Lindsay.

People who make excuses for others are nothing more than enablers.

I want Dr. Drew to take full responsibility for his actions.
With that column he wrote about having her arrested with a car full of drugs, he implied that she was desperate hardcore addict on death's door.
When is Dr. Drew going to take some responsibility for the magnitude of his error here?
If his assessment of Lindsay had been anywhere near correct, she's right -- the SCRAM bracelet would have sent her to the emergency room with withdrawals.
She never had to go to detox. If you don't have to detox, then you're not an addict.
You can see the damage that Dr. Drew has done by looking at how many commenters here still insist that she is an addict.
This society is out of control when it comes to being judgmental. Just plain out of control. People have lost touch with reality completely.
Thank heavens the doctors at UCLA do their jobs like professionals and pay no attention whatsoever to that celebrity huckster Dr. Drew.
