Hollywood officially runs out of ideas for what to do with Levi Johnston — so why not make him a politician?

OK, wait -- this is which sign of the Apocalypse?

Levi Johnston and some of his newest Hollywood BFFs are shopping a reality TV show, ‘Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor’s Office,’ which will feature Johnston as he raises his son Tripp and, you know, seeks elected office in Wasilla, Alaska.

The office of mayor, actually.

(Anything here sounding familiar? Get it? Get it? Yeah, that’s the joke! It’s like totally almost as good as the concept for ‘Survivor’ or ‘Mad Men’ or ‘The Cosby Show’ or even, you know, ‘M*A*S*H’!)

We envision potential audiences tuning in by the tens or even the dozens — perhaps even scores of people would watch! And we hope that if that were to happen, some nice person would promptly explain to Levi what a ‘score’ is, when the subject is not hockey or Bristol Palin.

The production company’s description of the show comes via Variety: ‘He will give us a real inside look into who he is as a father, a skilled hunter, an avid dirt biker and his journey down the road of small-town politics ... right after he gets his high school diploma.’

We imagine it’ll be no biggie to Levi’s ‘fellow Wasillians’ (the production company’s words, not ours); after all, the kid’s famous and stuff — how hard could it be to run a small town, anyway?

If there were ever a time for a facepalm, it’s now. Agree, or disagree? Please share your thoughts, in comments and vote for the appropriate network in our poll, right after the break.
