Halle Berry talks about motherhood and Gabriel Aubry [Updated]
For the first time in three years, Halle Berry is opening up about life as a mother -- and a single one at that, following her split from daughter Nahla's father, model Gabriel Aubry.
"It’s just that you realize you are not meant to go the distance with everybody,” Berry says in the September issue of Vogue. "We were meant to bring this amazing little person into the world. And I think that’s why we came together.... We are a family until we are not here anymore.”
Berry maintains that she and Aubry are still close friends and co-parent in harmony -- not that you'd know it before now.
"I was burned out with having other people tell the story about me that they wanted to tell," she said of her media blackout. "I told my publicist, 'I'm not going to talk anymore. I'm just going to live my life and be who I am.'"
Here's to broken silence and fall fashion issues.

I believe that Ms. Berry is a wonderful actress and from what I have seen...a good mother. I am glad that she and her daughter's father are able to be civil to each other especially in Hollywood where the rumor mill is always at work. lol I went to see FRANKIE AND ALICE and it was just fantastic. The story as well as the acting by Ms. Berry and Mr. Skarsgard. Great Great story and movie...and I hope that everyone gets a chance to view it.
