Chelsea Handler to host 2010 MTV Video Music Awards
Talk-show host and comic Chelsea Handler has been revealed as this year's MTV Video Music Awards host.
Certainly a departure from last year's host, Russell Brand, Handler might not have a rock edge, but she can certainly be a loose canon when required.
As host of E!'s "Chelsea Lately," Handler cuts up bold names and tabloid fodder, speaks often of her serious relationship with booze and deadpans like a pro.
On Sept. 12, she'll have plenty of targets, as the always interesting Lady Gaga is nominated for a ton of trophies, Justin Bieber is set to perform and Ke$ha will serve as one of many presenters.

Chelsea is really a funny gal, but her show "lately" can barely make me crack a smile. Have the writers changed? And what's up with the token gay guy???
Are all of the homosexuals in comedy clueless to what they're doing? They constantly whine and groan about not being taken seriously, demand their civil rights - then get up and make fools of themselves BECAUSE of their sexuality! It's so SAD.
I'm 50 years old, but even open minded people in their 20's think this guy is LAME!
Sorry Chelsea, can't watch the show these days.

Chelsea needs to find a new line of work. She was the worst MTV host that I have ever seen. She was not funny but rather very annoying. Her idiotic attempts at humor was just lame.
