We at the Ministry love a good lunch date with a friend, especially when it involves maybe-more-than-friends like Ashley Greene and Joe Jonas.

The pair were spotted Monday in Los Angeles’ Los Feliz neighborhood, sharing a table for two at crunchy Alcove Cafe. Sitting indoors (the restaurant has lots of outdoor garden seating and a small inside section for added privacy) opposite Jonas, Greene donned sunglasses and toted a huge purse.

Some reports this month said the pair had a first date at a Kings of Leon concert in London, while others claimed the pair were just friends (and that Greene was dating actor Brock Kelly). Whatever their romantic status, a delightful afternoon was had.

Other stars out and about lately include ...

... Taylor Momsen, the “Gossip Girl” femme fatale who has been making headlines for her raunchy music act and skimpy skirts. She and her band the Pretty Reckless popped up on the Vans Warped Tour to see Tomorrows Bad Seeds perform after her own set.

Jason Scoppa‘s Bardot Sessions went off Thursday with special guest Jeremy Piven celebrating his birthday. The crowd belting the “Happy Birthday” song included crooner Gavin DeGraw.

“Greek” actor Gregory Michael hit the Salsa Fits My Life store opening Wednesday, picking up pieces from the fall collection. Michael also sipped some Alma de Agave tequila, perhaps celebrating a life free of Vienna Girardi drama?

Bill Paxton, star of HBO’s “Big Love,” showed some love to GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network) by attending its L.A. Respect Kick-Off Party at Evo Luxury Residences in downtown L.A. last week.

Uptown, Rihanna was spotted hitting club Drai’s at the W Hollywood for a post-party after her concert at the Staples Center. Revelers Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner stopped by to celebrate.
