Melissa Rycroft is pregnant with her first child

Melissa Rycroft will be tangoing into the delivery room in a matter of months. The former ‘Dancing With the Stars’ contestant -- who was proposed to and then dumped on ‘The Bachelor’ -- is pregnant with her first baby.

The former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader announced Wednesday that she and husband Tye Strickland are expecting.

‘Apparently Tye and I wanted to see how many life-changing events we could fit into one calendar year,’ Rycroft said on the ‘Today’ show, ‘from getting engaged, married, new job, and we are now pregnant.’

Rycroft and her husband, an insurance agent, wed in December 2009 in Mexico. Aside from her gig as expectant mommy, she’ll also host the forthcoming reality spinoff ‘Bachelor Pad’ with Chris Harrison.
