Kanye West started sending Twitter messages Thursday, a week after joining.

When this post was published, the number of followers on his verified account was pushing 180,000 -- wait, no, passing it, we must type faster -- and the hip-hop artist had expressed amazement at the speed with which followers were jumping on board.

Around 5 p.m. PDT: ‘yeah.... we getting about 80 FOLLOWERS A SECOND no exaggeration!!!’

Around 6 p.m. PDT: ‘120,000!! This is way to much I need a moment!!! Can I quote myself or is that like talking in 3rd person which Kanye loves to do LOL’

Shortly before 9:30 p.m. PDT? The Ministry of Gossip wonders if anyone’s shown Kanye how to use the ‘follow’ button, or even told him that there are other people on Twitter at all -- because it looks as if he’s interested in the tweets of exactly, well, zero people who are not himself.

That’s right -- Kanye isn’t following a soul.

Dude. Even Conan O’Brien found someone.

Or, wait, no -- this is when he performed his new single ‘Power’ at the BET Awards in Los Angeles on June 27, 2010. Shoot. Totally looked like one guy paying attention to nobody else in the room.
