Chelsea Clinton, Marc Mezvinsky marry amid politicos and celebs
Chelsea Clinton officially tied the knot with investment banker Marc Mezvinksy on Saturday, according to a statement from her parents Bill and Hillary Clinton, surrounded by Washington power players and celebs including Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen.
"Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together," the former First Couple said.In Rhinebeck, N.Y., guests were transported from the quaint Delamater Inn to the 6:30 p.m. nuptials on River Road, by way of shuttles and black Town Cars. The mother of the bride rode in a van.
The interfaith ceremony was officiated by Rabbi James Ponet and the Rev. William Shillady, with reports saying the program included "friends and family reading the Seven Blessings, which are typically recited at traditional Jewish weddings following the vows and exchange of rings."
A friend of the couple read Leo Marks' poem "The Life That I Have."
Actors Danson and Steenburgen were spotted Saturday afternoon roaming the small town, which was saturated by media.
"I’ve known her since she was a baby, so this is a big moment,” Steenburgen told reporters.
Marie Clinton Bruno, a relative of the former president, praised the location as a "wonderful choice. It reminds me of the Ozarks in Arkansas, except more chic.”
Chelsea and Marc started dating in 2005 and announced their engagement in November 2009. Stay tuned to the Ministry for developments.

What a shame. A "Rabbi" that publicly desecrates the Sabbath, and reciting the sacred Sheva Brachot over a "marriage" with a shiksa. How typical of our confused era.

They were dating when Chelsea Clinton was 16. They dated almost the whole time since then, but for three years, when she saw another man. They didn't "start dating" in 2005.

CONGRATULATIONS TO MARK AND CHELSEA!
I REMEMBER CHELSEA AS A TEENAGER LIVING AT THE WHITE HOUSE WHEN HER FATHER BECAME PRESIDENT. I WAS A GRADUATE STUDENT AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA WHEN THE AAUW, SUPPORTED HER FATHER. WE HAD A RECEPTION FOR NOW SECRESARY OF STATE HILLARY CLINTON, WHEN SHE VISIT OUR UNIVERSITY CAMPAINING FOR HER HUSBAND.
AS A PERSONAL NOTE, I HAPPEN TO SHARE BRITHDAYS WITH SECRETARY CLINTON AND EVERY YEAR I SENT A BIRTHDAY CARD TO HER AT THE WHITE HOUSE ADDRESS. I ALWAYS RECEIVED A RESPONSE WITH A BIRTHDAY WISHES FOR ME. THEN WHEN SHE BECAME A SENATOR AND I HAD NO CLUE WHERE TO SEND HER A CARD AND NOW I DON'T HAVE AN ADDRESS EITHER. OUR BIRTHDAY IS ON OCTOBER 26TH.
BEST WISHES FOR THE CLINTON FAMILY AND
"ENHORABUENA" CHELSEA! YOU HAVE BECOME SUCH A CHARMING YOUNG WOMAN.

I find it offensivive that the Clinton's hosted such an elaborate wedding in our economic times. Just think how much some of these funds could have benefited less fortunate people in these sad economic times. How could they as political leaders flaunt their wealth in such a frivilous way while publicly they vow to help those who are jobless. Just because Chelsea is the daughter of a former President does not entitle her to this kind of fanfare!

I AM SO HAPPY TO SEE OUR FORMER PRESIDENT'S DAUGHTER MARRIED THAT'S SOMETHING EVERY PARENT WANT TO SEE.I CONGRATULATE CLINTON'S FAMILY TO SUPPORT THEIR DAUGHTER ALL WAY TO THE WEDDING THAT'S BEAUTIFUL.NOW IT'S MRS MEZVINSKY AND I AM PRAYING FOR THEM TO HAVE A BLESSING LIFE TOGETHER.GOOD BLESS YOU GUYS.

@Beth, if Chelsea was your daughter, no matter your economic status, would you deny her a wedding that YOU could afford per your station in life, no matter the economic times? I doubt that you would tell your only daughter that you would have to cut back on wedding expenses because some might be offended by it. I don't feel like they are flaunting their wealth at all! Dad is a former President and Mom is Secretary of State after all! P.S. I am not even a Democrat and have never even really cared for the Clintons, but am always glad to see happy times for a family!

Congratulations to the lovely couple!! May you have many years together in health and happiness.
Beth - did it occur to you that many individuals and businesses benefited from the money the Clintons spent, how wonderful that they did so, particularly in this economy.
And just who are you to judge what the daughter of a former president is entitled to? Since when is it your business? Get a life - you've just shared that you have none, just sour grapes.

Her dress looks quite ok, but it would have perfect, if it had covered her shoulders.

I love the Clinton family. Chelsea is a very lovely girl. I can feel the big love that she has in her heart

The poster who wrote, "What a shame. A "Rabbi" that publicly desecrates the Sabbath, and reciting the sacred Sheva Brachot over a "marriage" with a shiksa." Is absolutely correct, Jews are not to Marry on a Saturday, which is the Sabbath a day for rest. Seventh Day Adventist also acknowledge Saturday as the Sabbath, yes a sacred Holy Day.
Where are the grooms parents? That was rather rude of the Clinton's to not include them in photos.

A delightful couple, a beautiful day, excitement in a small town!
The Hudson River as a backdrop! Please, no grousing!
Best wishes for a wonderful marriage.

Did the father make the wedding or is he in jail. How long till his son goes to jail. What a sorted affair to have this hypocritical liberal spending $3 millon a wedding and the media loves it. If this were republican then they are bad...but corrupt democrats everyone loves them. Repulsive! Chelsea only got the job as a favor to he dad.

Lovely bride, happy day. Boo to the woman who thinks she should have covered her shoulders--YOUR religion, not Chelsea's Butt out! As far as "desecrating' the Sabbath, you should butt out too--not Chelsea's religion and maybe the groom isn't religious.
Celebrate a happy event--what a nice switch from all the hatred in the world.

nice pictures, always liked chelsea, but where
are the grooms parents in all of this. don't
hear about them or even a pic. know the clintons have the money to spend but to leave
the groom standing alone without his parents.
darn ignorant don't you think

I cried when I saw Chelsea's beautiful face with showing hope for a happier future as a couple than her parent's had. I wish her and Marc all the very best for a lifetime of happiness. What difference does it make about religion if the Mother raises her children to be with strict standards and discipline and regard for mankind. Our behavior has not changed that much since biblical times. Good Luck and lots of blessings to the newlyweds. May they live together joyously.

Nothing but best wishes to Mark and Chelsea.
Yes, the amount spent is/was "obscene" BUT at least it was NOT "taxpayer money" (I hope / think). If Hillary and Billary will quit lecturing us on the "evil rich" not paying their fair share, that would be prudent, but I know they simply cannot resist being hypocrites - they are Democrats after all. At least Billary and Hillary don't "hate" the USA like Obamacrats do.

Chelsea, this is another phase in your life, i hope and strongly believe you will enjoy it. May God bless your marriage.

Barry--get a life. Seeing the Clinton's and Chelsea brings back such warm memories of how wonderful America was and how well we were respected in the world in the 90's. I'm proud of the Clinton's. They are a bright spot in a shameful and humiliating period for America after 2000. And Obama pales by comparison. Republicans can only dream of being so classy.

Where were the groom's parents?
