Adam Brody to Kristen Stewart: If you don't like the fame, there's the door

Adam Brody, no stranger to successful teen franchises, has a message for Kristen Stewart and other actors accused of hating the fame game: Quit.

Appearing on Diablo Cody's new internet talk show "Red Band Trailer" (the screenwriter actually holds celeb chats in an Airstream trailer), the duo broached the perilous lives of celebs, paparazzi and all.

"Do you enjoy being famous, or do you wish that you could just be an actor apart from all that, a la Kristen Stewart?" Cody asked.

"It's only gotten worse, I'm sure, being a celebrity. At the same time, I don't have a lot of patience for people who moan about it too much. Because there are many things you could do," Brody said, calling back to Cody's reference to Stewart.

"It's like, quit ... you don't need to be an actor, so it's like if it's that much of a problem ... there's the door."

Cody and Brody could be alluding to previous comments from Stewart regarding fan obsession and the oppressive nature of being famous.

I understand his general thoughts and agree with him. But Kristen wass only 19 when she was having like a dozen paps stalking her when she was alone, cornering her car in parking lots at night and all those flash bulbs going off. There's one video where you can hear them asking se xually crude questions about Robert Pattinson while they cornered her in her car at night with the bulbs flashing and blinding her eyes. At one point she calls someone and starts crying. There' something highly inappropriate about packs of men chasing after a lone girl of 19 who can't weigh more than a 100 lbs whose just trying to drive home. So what he's talking about and what Kristen SPECIFICALLY complains about are two different things to me. She's usually talking about the "chase," about paps trying to get a better picture story by flustering her(asking how big her costars male member is would do that to you), and then capturing the moment right when she snaps. That 's messed up.

Honestly I wonder this: Does Kristen moan about celebrity too much? Or is she asked about celebrity often by journalists cause let's face it, she just answers like she feels and you always end up with a great soundbyte. I think Kristen should not even answer this question anymore, it's been asked to death, and she's answered it to death as well. But at the same time, I've seen other interviews where she's fine, and it's cause the interviewer isn't trying to do the "how has celebrity changed your life" sadsack interview? I think Kristen has been pegged at this point as the sadsack chick from twilight, very much as Megan Fox got pegged as the diarhea mouthed chick from Transformers.

You're report on this is highly misleading; Adam Brody was not addressing Kristen Stewart personally, he was referring to celebrities in general. It was the interviewer who brought up Stewart, not Brody. And this is all a moot point considering that Stewart has also said in multiple interviews that she appreciates fame for the opportunities it brings, as well as for the amount of people it allows her to reach. Basically, she seems to think of fame as a double-edged sword, which means she AGREES with Brody. You report seems to suggest the opposite.

In print, Adam's comments aren't bad. he makes a point . But then I watched the video of him, and the way he stops just short of saying her name in relation to what he says is kind of weird. Like take a xanax, geez, David Banner.

Jesse Eisenberg has gone in depth about what he really liked and respected about Kristen and talked about how crazy it was to be at Sundance with her post-twilight cause the press was so aggressive with her and she's so small and a tad nervous in nature. I like Adam Brody, think he's talented, but I think his comments don't really acknowledge that Kristen's level of fame is a tad psycho in terms of the frenzy with paps, media, and fans. He seems a little self righteous about something he never experienced, and I do appreciate that Jesse offered a glimpse into the craziness that is her life.
