Who needs monstrous CGI animations voiced by a dozen celebs? Seth Rogen is giving it to you live.

Or at least he did Thursday night at Los Angeles’ Colburn School, where the actor staged a live reading of children’s classic ‘Ferdinand the Bull’ with the Salastina Music Society.

Artistic directors Maia Jasper and Kevin Kumar welcomed the ‘Funny People’ star, who brought bumbling charm to the tale of a docile bull who’d rather smell flowers than fight in a ring.

Rogen attended with his girlfriend, writer Lauren Miller, and two pals. About 150 guests enjoyed the show in Colburn’s Zipper Hall, then partied afterward with gourmet ice cream from Scoops.

Rogen will appear in the film ‘The Green Hornet’ with Cameron Diaz, set for release in January 2011.
