Miley Cyrus performs, and we can't help but stare [pictures] [Updated]

Oh yeah, she was a presenter and won a trophy too: international video of the year for "Party in the U.S.A."

The aspiring pop tart will hit House of Blues in L.A. on Monday night for a concert that'll be streamed live on MTV.com and its related sites starting at 7:30 p.m. PDT and featuring songs from her new album, "Can't Be Tamed," which hits stores Tuesday. 

Miley promises the show will be "pretty rad."

The problem is, it's a song she can't really sing so she has to resort to all sorts of theatrics just to get the notes out. It's a little bit too bad as I really love Miley .. kind of agree with Dylan .. except he needed to include Melissa Etheridge and Alanis ..

Unfortunatly, if they want to be mega popular, they do have to whore themselves. You have to either have a LOT of talent, like Jewel and be attractive so you don't have to whore yourself, or you have to be hot, have some talent and show skin. There are just too many girls willing to do almost anything to be ultra popular that you almost can't compete with them without dressing like this. And don't forget that our culture puts a huge premium on looking good, to the point that most girls think that being pretty is all that makes them worthwhile. That their sole value is in their looks. That is going to be a hard thing fix.

Other than her disabilities in acting, singing and dancing she seems to be a fine young lady.

It's sad that Miley Cyrus is turning out this way. Her parents are obviously failures at instilling good old-fashioned values, shame on them... And Miley is just a perfect example of so many young ladies dressing slutty to get attention. I'm only 20 years old, and I think she's disgusting, but I'm sure a lot of ladies younger than me will look at her and take a page out of her book. I, for one, do NOT want to see a bunch of mini-Miley's running around. I'm guessing her "Can't Be Tamed" song just explains it.. let's just hope she doesn't get pregnant anytime soon..
Taylor Swift is a much better example of what ladies SHOULD be doing. She wears somewhat-sexy clothing in some of her performances, but she's still DEFINITELY covered up and looks beautiful. Kudos for Taylor - having real talent and SELF-RESPECT.
