Katherine Jackson endorses Michael Jackson event, thanks fans for their support

In a mutual exchange of endorsements, Katherine Jackson appeared in a video posted online Tuesday thanking "Forever Michael" tribute organizer Joe Fahmy for organizing an event set for Saturday in Beverly Hills, and Fahmy returned the favor by expressing his excitement over her new coffee-table book, "Never Can Say Goodbye."

Before Jackson's blessing, there had been speculation that the event was not authorized by the estate.

"Mrs. Jackson just said, 'I need to clear the air for you, because you're doing such a wonderful thing,' " Fahmy told the Associated Press, describing how she "rescued" him. "And she was just one of the sweetest ladies you could ever meet."

The event will include performances by the Chi-Lites and Genevieve Jackson, Michael Jackson's niece and the daughter of Randy Jackson. Tickets are $150 to $500; event organizers told the AP that some proceeds will go to the Jackson Family Foundation and to Michael's favorite charities.

Friday is the first anniversary of the pop star's death.

Thank you, Mother Katharine. You can be sure we who love Michael will never, ever let him down. Be the strong pillar you are; our prayers go to you and your family. Can't wait to lay my hands on "Never Can Say Goodbye." MJ is in my heart always.

Katherine's coffee table book of MJ should be a limited edition. I would love to have a copy. However, after the way the family behaved after Michael passed, the jackson's need to stay far away from any event or project to do with MJ. most fans think they are all about the money, not MJ. I don't think the MJ event or the museum project will do well as a result of this.

Wow, the video looks like a book promo to me and let me guess, the proceeds for the book go toward the "Save The Jacksons from Massive Debt and Impending Doom" fund, right? Or is it the "How to Fake Your Death and Get Rich at the Fans' Expense" foundation? Come on fans, open those wallets and checkbooks just one more time and let's all join hands in singing "Soon We'll See The King"! THIS IS IT (own it now on DVD available in stores today)!!!

What goes around comes around and this whole thing has never been "All for L.O.V.E.". It's always been "All for M.O.N.E.Y." from the start. I totally agree with PaleRider's comments and I do think he faked his death so he could grab the sympathy bucks from his OWN unsuspecting and blind-from-adoration fans so he could pay off his massive debts and save his own skin. Maybe if someone took away his plastic a long time ago he wouldn't be in this predicament. How sick and disgusting! This whole thing is going to explode in their faces soon and when the dust all settles his name isn't going to be worth 1 cent. He better go hide cause his fans are gonna go hunt his butt down and just beat it.

what? how ridiculous. why would Michael leave his kids behind for someone else to raise? Michael was murdered and I hope he gets justice.
