Lady Gaga gets the Rolling Stone treatment

RS1108_lady_gagaAnother day, another editorial spread for our dear Lady Gaga. This time, Rolling Stone features the singer in all her double-barreled glory.

Shot by Terry Richardson (whom we recently congratulated on revealing Rachel Zoe sidekick Brad Goreski as beefcake), the always avant garde Gaga rocks her "Alejandro" machine-gun bra -- and not much else.

"When I wake up in the morning, I feel just like any other insecure 24-year-old girl," she tells the magazine. "Then I say, '... you're Lady Gaga, you get up and walk the walk today.' "

So invested is she in her onstage persona, for the sake of her fans, Gaga says she won't even hydrate during a performance.

"I don't even drink water onstage in front of anybody, because I want them to focus on the fantasy of the music."

Hmmm -- that would explain a lot.

The lady says she uses Michael Jackson as a prototype for the kind of celebrity she exercises: an entertainer at all costs.

Gaga-RS

"Michael got burned, and he lifted that glittered glove so damn high so his fans could see him, because he was in the art of show business. That's what we do."

What do you think of the extreme measures Lady Gaga takes to preserve her fame? Tell us in the comments section below.

Lady Gaga is no lady. Sometimes I think she's the male sister of Anne Coulter. Her fans are total idiots but then again they are the same age as she - young and younger. Her songs all sound the same but I will always like "JUST DANCE" even though it sounds like Madonna, another singer I abhor for a whole set of different reasons.

Cyndi Lauper is one of my fav singers but Gaga is no Lauper and she is no Madonna. I think she's ripped off all of these singers as well as ACE OF BASE and ABBA. Her videos are extreme...ly boring...seen that, been there. Her outfits are also outlandish and attention getting - the wrong type of attention and she believes her own publicity. Wake up fool - you can't go around for the rest of your life parading in your underpants. Tell your parents you are a lesbian, find a partner, settle down and get off my radio!

Thanks - :)

I am a BIG ..HUGE Lady Gaga fan and I always will be..now you know your a big fan of a artist when you find half of what they say questionable but still love them like a mother& listen to their songs every night before bed..but anyways, I have to disagree Gaga, though I love ,Love gaga, I believe that things such as drinking water would make an artist more human and more relatable instead of a chinadoll in a glass box on the top shelf, she needs to find balance, for example, be a china doll in a plastic box in eye view..theres no need to be made of glass..

I haven't heard a lot of Ms Gaga's music but what I have seems rather pallid, unoriginal, and unengaging. I guess the big time stage productions have to make up for the uninterestingness of the music.

I am a 56 year old Englishman and I find Lady GaGa, refreshing and right for the times we live in, Lady GaGa is having her 15 minutes of fame, just like Madonna, Cindy and Mr. Jackson.

bonju patten you are a jerk, stop preaching what you do not do

Lady gaga is nothing but a giant hype. People get involved with the scandel's, the shocking scenes, it's all just complete garbage!

Lady Gaga is avant garde? Compared to what...Taylor Swift? Just another dope willing to do whatever it takes to make some cash and stay noticed. That's not avant garde, that's just desperate and sleazy. Since she's not particularly attractive she has to step it up a notch.

Lady Gaga is no dope. Believe what you will, she is a true talent with above average intelligence and poise. Her music, though sometimes reminiscent of the 80s icons that inspired us many years back, is phenomenal and new and fresh. Just watching her sing with Elton John a month or so back indicates to me that she is the real thing, without a doubt.... The Queen of Pop. She has a wonderful strong beautiful voice and a desire to entertain like no one we've seen in so long. Let yourself go, listen to her music, enjoy her antics, and love her back. You don't have to be like her, to appreciate who she is and what she is giving all of us.

The sum so far exceeds the total that GENIUS is the only answer.
