Lady Gaga gets the Rolling Stone treatment
Shot by Terry Richardson (whom we recently congratulated on revealing Rachel Zoe sidekick Brad Goreski as beefcake), the always avant garde Gaga rocks her "Alejandro" machine-gun bra -- and not much else.
"When I wake up in the morning, I feel just like any other insecure 24-year-old girl," she tells the magazine. "Then I say, '... you're Lady Gaga, you get up and walk the walk today.' "
So invested is she in her onstage persona, for the sake of her fans, Gaga says she won't even hydrate during a performance.
"I don't even drink water onstage in front of anybody, because I want them to focus on the fantasy of the music."
Hmmm -- that would explain a lot.
The lady says she uses Michael Jackson as a prototype for the kind of celebrity she exercises: an entertainer at all costs.
"Michael got burned, and he lifted that glittered glove so damn high so his fans could see him, because he was in the art of show business. That's what we do."
What do you think of the extreme measures Lady Gaga takes to preserve her fame? Tell us in the comments section below.
