Kellie Pickler engaged to songwriter boyfriend Kyle Jacobs
"American Idol" alum Kellie Pickler and her songwriter boyfriend, Kyle Jacobs, are engaged to be married, People reports, with the country cutie confirming the news via Twitter on Wednesday morning.
"Yes, it's true. Can't wait to say "I DO!" the 23-year-old said in her tweet.
Jacobs proposed June 15 on a Florida beach. That date has had a sad but special spot in Pickler's heart: It's the birthday of her late grandmother Faye Pickler, with whom she was very close. Now, she told the magazine, "we both feel like we got my grandmother's blessing."
The two met about 2 1/2 years ago, through friends.
