'The Dog Whisperer' Cesar Millan and wife divorcing after 16 years
"The Dog Whisperer" star Cesar Millan and his wife, Illusion, have decided to divorce after 16 years together.
"The decision was made after much consideration and time," says a brief note from the couple that was posted on Millan's website Friday. "We remain caring friends, and are fully committed to the co-parenting of our two boys."
Illusion Millan, who filed for divorce Friday, is seeking primary custody of sons Calvin and Andre, with visitation rights for and spousal support from Cesar, People magazine reports.
Cesar Millan suffered another personal blow in February: the death at age 16 of pit bull Daddy, his loyal companion.

I think it is so sad that as a pack leader for his dogs, Ceasar is unable to keep his family together. It takes a lot more work on the people skills to make a marriage work when one is in the movie industry and so involved in his work with animals. I wish that the same time devoted to those indeavors could be devoted to family. There are not many more commitments more important than the vows of marriage and they take both partners giving it their all. You may have a life time with a dog but it seems that same commitment to a spouse is lacking in so many now adays. I wish Ceasar and his family the best but I must say it is with profound sadness that I see this marriage fail when the calm, assertive pack leader is left at a loss to save his marriage. Always a fan just a disappointed one.
