Actor Chris Klein, who was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving in the wee hours Wednesday, has checked into rehab in Utah, his rep tells People magazine.

After the arrest, his second alcohol-related encounter with the law, Klein “was forced to take a clear look at a problem he has been trying to deal with himself for years,” rep Jaime Premak told the magazine. Klein is voluntarily at the Cirque Lodge in Utah for at least 30 days -- more if needed. (Lindsay Lohan is among those reported to have spent time at the Cirque -- what are the odds of that?)

Yes, the Ministry did give the “American Pie” and “Election” actor the kick-him-when-he’s-down treatment Wednesday after the arrest, but now it’s time to wish him success getting a handle on things. At least we think so -- if only to head off another career decision along the lines of “Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-li.”

Agree that he needs a cheering section? Disagree? What did you think about there being a dog in the car when he was arrested? Let us know in comments.
