'American Pie' actor Chris Klein arrested on suspicion of DUI; painter Thomas Kinkade too

Chris Klein, the actor who broke out in "Election," starred in the "American Pie" movies and hasn't really thrilled the world to a major extent since then except when he broke up with Katie Holmes, was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of DUI, L.A. Now reports. 

Klein, who was pulled over on the 101 Freeway at Woodman Avenue, reportedly blew more than .20 on a Breathalyzer exam, TMZ reports. Measure that against the legal blood alcohol limit: .08  Bail was set at $25,000, and a 2004 DUI conviction already on his record could mean jail time if the actor is convicted again.

So in the spirit of kicking a guy while he's down, we present for your viewing pleasure a video of Chris Klein's semi-legendary "Mamma Mia!" audition, above. (What?! They make Klein audition?)

One thing to mitigate Klein's pain: At least he's not alone. Thomas Kinkade, the "Painter of Light" guy, was pulled over Friday night in Carmel because he didn't have a front plate on his car -- and subsequently arrested after he smelled of alcohol and failed a field sobriety test, according to police. And yes, "Painter of Light" is trademarked.

I thought I read somewhere that Mr. Kinkade never really painted these days; minions produce works on which he signs off. (Maybe he spends more time drinking and less painting...I'm just sayin'.)
