Star sightings: Daniel Craig hits gay beach bar, Kim K learns to DJ

The Ministry always has updated sightings, and this weekend was packed with star movement foreign and domestic.

Starting here in Los Angeles, Venice Beach was hopping with leading-man action despite overcast skies.

Sacha Baron Cohen ventured out to the opening of the Jack Spade flagship store Saturday on Abbot Kinney Boulevard. The fashionable crowd enjoyed hot dogs and beer, heated ping-pong matches and naturally Spade’s signature bags and menswear.

Come nightfall, just down the street at gay bar Roosterfish, ‘James Bond’ star Daniel Craig was spotted with a male pal, enjoying cocktails and a cover band. Dressed in a black suit, Craig greeted numerous fans and even attempted some dance moves.

... picking up some turntable tricks from DJ Cobra at a party for City Center’s Underground Sound in Alberta.

Closer to home, rapper Ludacris hit Pure nightclub at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas for a 30-minute set, rhyming for a crowd that included Warren Sapp and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Skip from Vegas to Connecticut and we land Saturday night in the company of Pam Anderson, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian, singer Jessie James (sans Reggie Bush, who tweeted that night from New York) and Ice-T andwife Coco.

In Center Bar off the gaming area, Eddie and LeAnn cozied up to fellow couple Ice-T and Coco, while Pam made small talk at the casino’s club Shrine with guest DJ Mix Master Mike, the Beastie Boys’ resident DJ. While she has plenty of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ moves in her repertoire, she’s also an activist.

Last week the blond sent letters to state reps in California and New Jersey, urging them to co-sponsor HR 1326, which would prohibit invasive research on great apes for purposes such as finding a vaccine for hepatitis C -- putting animal protection ahead of her own self-interest.
