Jesse James tells 'Nightline': 'I think I wanted to get caught'
You say you're slightly interested in hearing what Jesse James has to say for himself, but not enough to stay up past 11:35 p.m.? (Hey, there's no judging here.)
As we told you last week, James will break his silence for the first time since his marriage to Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock became tabloid fodder in an interview airing Tuesday on ABC's "Nightline."
"Nightline's" Vicki Mabrey appeared on "Good Morning America" Monday morning and revealed more footage from her much talked about interview with Bullock’s soon-to-be-ex-husband.
In the preview, James says he still has feelings for the actress: “I still really love her and care about her.” And he says he's not surprised his indiscretions became public: “I knew I would get caught eventually and I think I wanted to get caught.”
Check it out for yourself:
Hmmm. What do you think of the clip? Will you tune in Tuesday? Let us know what you think in the comments.

I think he's a total douchebag and if he had any class he would not be blabbing to the press mere weeks after ruining his marriage.

Total loser. He couldnt match up to Sandra so he had to sabotage it. Now look!
Don't feel bad for him or Tiger.

If it's not the addiction excuse, it's the "truth" excuse: "I think I wanted to get caught..." or whatever. Real truth: You're a big fool who was jealous/competitive of your wife and a big ego baby. How about saying that? 'Nuf said and talking to the press and telling the "truth" ain't gonna make it any better.

He's ugly. What the hell was she thinking? And the trash that he cheated on her with only makes it so much worse. He is scum and belongs with scum, which Sandra is so not.

It's good to see everyone piling on. Reinforces my beliefs about human nature - when a dogs down, kick it, that way it has a chance to rise above you. Sandra, love her or not, she too fall into the Hollywood dumb mold. How can you get your 2nd, 3rd and 4th divorce if you haven't gotten that 1st one under your belt? Ok, Sandra, now you're ready to go babe. You need to hurry, thought. Most everyone else out there is working on 3, 4, or 5.

He only regrets what he did because he got caught.

He really tries to flatter himself, by saying it will take her a long time to get over him....ha ha ha she is probably so over it

If he really wanted to get caught, then why did he lie to Sandra about cheating until recently? He knew he was caught and had no choice but to tell the truth after the story about Bombshell Mcgee came out. It's hard to buy anything that this guy says with his track record. I though his nightline interview came across as a lame and desperate attempt to try to salvage his image. I would have more respect for him if he'd just say I did wrong and I make no excuses for myself.

People can say and feel what they want, but I give Jesse a lot credit here. I think it takes a big person to admit they're broken. That's half the battle.
I do not believe he is blaming his parents in any way - but the reality is - he may be terribly scared from his childhood. It's not an excuse for his behavior, but it can most definitely be the reason behind his self destructive behavior.
Some people live their entire lives and never have the guts to admit their screwed up. My heart goes out to him and I hope he continues to overcome his demons. We all have them.

So what's Tiger Woods excuse? I guess every player or cheater out there can find some excuse.
