If Tom Cruise's next film flops, should you blame Suri?
Did you pop in your “Tropic Thunder” DVD (come on, someone must have purchased it) recently and wonder what prompted Tom Cruise to play a balding, foul-mouthed film exec who isn’t opposed to bumping, grinding and air-spanking?
Well, daughter Suri might be to blame.
In the new issue of Esquire, Cruise reveals he likes to occasionally bounce ideas off her when prepping for a film.
"I'll put Suri on a swing and tell her stories when I'm working on a script," he says. "I'll start with the beginning of the movie and take her through the story beat by beat. Of course, I make it age-appropriate. She's 4 years old. But she asks all the right questions: 'Why does that happen?' 'Those are the bad guys?' 'You're the good guy, right?'"
If only Katie Holmes would do the same. Maybe, then, we could have been spared “Mad Money.”
