Thank you, Beyonce. For many things, really, but mainly for the music video released Wednesday for your new track ‘Why Don’t You Love Me?’

After last week’s exciting but quite obviously Lady Gaga-inspired Christina Aguilera vid for ‘Not Myself Tonight,’ and the relentless and anticlimactic teasing of Miley Cyrus’ ‘Can’t Be Tamed,’ Mrs. Jay-Z steps up to the plate and delivers vampy bliss as a jilted housewife.

Inspired by sinewy ‘70s discontent, B’s clip is reminiscent of Juergen Teller‘s dusty Marc Jacobs chic with a little ‘Ice Storm’ aggression -- and lots of runny mascara.
