Whitney Houston has restarted her European tour, though her Tuesday night performance in Birmingham, England, left a bit to be desired, the New York Daily News reports.

A 20-minute disappearance early in the show, filled by backup singers and a video montage, wasn’t what fans were paying to see, apparently.

She created a stir -- and stirred up rumors of a drug relapse -- last week when she canceled her Paris show, which was to launch the tour.

Why the cancellation in Paris? Concert organizers blamed an upper respiratory infection; Houston, however, told Parade that she has bad allergies this time of year and called the drug rumors ‘ridiculous.’

You can make up your own explanation for the performance above.

P.S. That top footage is the ‘good’ stuff released by Houston’s people. But it’s not the only footage out there.
