Sarah Jessica Parker covers Vogue: movies, motherhood and the SJP brand [video]
Mario Testino shot the American beauty outside of New York City, styled by Vogue's Tonne Goodman.
Working mom would be an understatement the size of the "Sex" box office in the context of Parker, who's acting, consulting at design house Halston and raising three children with husband Matthew Broderick.
Son James Wilke, now 7, was joined by twin sisters Marion and Tabitha last June. As the baby girls approach a year, Parker reflected on the surrogacy process she and Broderick endured.
"All the stuff that matters is secretive and worrisome. You can’t talk about how you feel about the woman who’s carrying your children; you can only talk about it to your husband," she says, “and he just doesn’t want to talk about it as much as you do.”
Still she maintains the girls bring endless joy, and that the baby boom in the Broderick house is no accident ...
"I don’t remember anything but the blanket on the bed that they were lying on and my husband’s face and their faces and my son’s," Parker says of the day the twins came home.
"It’s literally as if sound is sucked from the room. Time stands still. It’s so different, and equally extraordinary.”
The "SATC" sequel, which reunites Parker with Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, opens May 27. Check out the updated trailer, and find more pics from Parker's spread over at Vogue.
