‘It’s my experience that he loves me.’

That tidbit of raw passion from Rielle Hunter, who sat down with Oprah Winfrey to discuss her relationship with former presidential hopeful John Edwards.

It’s not Hunter’s ‘experience’ that a third party wrecks a home, she says in the interview that airs on Winfrey’s Thursday show.

Hunter, who says she doesn’t need marriage to define who she is, also delivers the helpful revelation that ‘you can’t steal someone else’s husband,’ because people aren’t property.

Suddenly we give more credence to her claim she didn’t know GQ intended to publish those pictures Hunter posed for without her pants on.

Is it just me who has now decided that getting knocked up by a married man should be the rule, not the exception? Oh, wait, that’s not even me deciding that. So confusing.

Another revelation, for those interested in Edwards’ position on defense: During the affair, no birth control was used by either party.
