Ready to spend your evenings with Oprah Winfrey?

Oprah tyler Oprah Winfrey, long the queen of daytime talk shows, is expected Thursday to announce she's heading out after dark, the Wall Street Journal reports.

So, all the fans who've been holding their breath since November -- when it was announced "The Oprah Winfrey Show" would be shuttered Sept. 9, 2011 -- can relax. And then they can immediately start calling the cable company to find out if Oprah's new cable channel, OWN, will be on the menu in time for the new show's debut.

"Oprah's Next Chapter" is expected to air two or three nights a week on OWN; instead of being stuck in a studio, the show reportedly will follow Winfrey around the globe, where she presumably will do whatever the heck she wants to do -- because, you know, she's Oprah.

"I'm going to take viewers with me, going to take celebrities I want to interview with me," Winfrey told the Journal.

"Oprah's Next Chapter" is expected to roll out in late 2011. Will you watch?

How arrogant.

Why would I want to spend my evenings with Oprah?...because Oprah is God! (for people who can't think for themselves)

Yet another show I won't watch.

@ Cisco -- No, silly, Oprah's BFF, Barack Obama is God to people who don't think for themselves! Oprah is her OWN God -- she has no God before herself (and her plastic surgeon)!

I would love to spend time with Oprah just learning what she knows about herself and others. She is an intriguing woman and I like her sensibilities, don't quite understand her rationale and nuances on some things; but that makes her even more complex which is cool. However my heart belongs to Shaniaaaaa and even though her and Frederic are 'constant companions', they make a dull couple. Good luck Oprah, Shania and others.

Oh you people are so petty. If you don't like Oprah, do something better with your time than reading articles about her and posting negative comments about her. Take up needlepoint or something!

I'm only interested if she loses some weight first.

Oprah wants to interview celebrities? I believe that about as much as I believe Tiger Woods' lame-o acts of contrition. I would rather watch a show where Oprah and Gayle King plop themselves down at the Grand Hotel Quisisana in Capri and mock celebrities as they fill their gullets with Krug Clos des Mesnil while feeding each other strawberries and burning hundred dollar bills...just because they feel like it.

Testing...testing...1-2-3... I guess Oprah's doing the Jay Leno thing, changing program time! I think it will work because she has a winning personality, and that's what draws people to her. If she provides laughs and interesting topics the show will work!
