Gwyneth Paltrow’s workout regimen for ‘Iron Man 2’

Gwyneth Paltrow has gotten a lot of flak over her lifestyle newsletter GOOP, in which she often divulges details of her exercise routines and diet.

The actress, looking svelte as ever at the ‘Iron Man 2’ premiere on Monday evening in Hollywood, had to work especially hard to get in shape for her role as Pepper Potts in the new film. So hard, in fact, that her personal trainer, Tracy Anderson -- who recently ended her association with Madonna -- was on hand to detail how she works Paltrow out.

‘I really stepped it up for ‘Iron Man 2’ because I’ve trained her for almost four years and the first ‘Iron Man,’ she had just had a baby, so you could kind of see the transformation through the first one,’ Anderson said. ‘So for the second one I was like, ‘I’m gonna kick your butt, you’re gonna look unbelievable!’ And she did.’

As for Paltrow, she chose to talk about more pertinent issues -- like the movie she was on hand to promote. She admitted, though, that she wasn’t a big comic book fan before signing on to do ‘Iron Man.’

Did you have any special superhero, one reporter asked?

‘No,’ she shrugged.

And if she could pick a superpower?

‘None! I’m happy the way I am.’
