Friends of Elin Nordegren say she is close to filing for divorce from Tiger Woods [Updated]

Elin Nordegren has had it with Tiger Woods.

As if having your famous husband's countless affairs made public isn't bad enough, Nordegren's friends are saying she's furious about his speedy return to golf.

She doesn't like that controversial Nike commercial he did either. To hear sources talking to People magazine tell it, Mrs. Tiger Woods is now past trying to make her marriage work -- televised public apology or not.

Nordegren is particularly peeved about the Nike ad, in which a forlorn-looking Woods gets a scolding from his late father from beyond the grave; it is said to have pushed her over the edge.

"Elin was violently angry over this commercial and thought it was a cheesy thing to do," a friend of Nordegren's told the magazine. The voice of his father, Earl Woods, was in fact pulled from an interview about his wife Kultilda, not Tiger.

Worse still, Nordegren is said to be stunned and hurt that Woods did not take more time off from golf to work on his marriage. She did not attend his return performance at the Masters, where he finished a disappointing fourth, and instead flew out of Florida without her husband and children.

"She wouldn't have gone near the Masters under any condition, but that just made her madder," the source said. "She is over Tiger. I wouldn't be surprised if she files for divorce sometime soon."

But it's all speculation for now. There is no confirmation that Nordegren has filed any legal papers or retained a divorce attorney. [Updated 1:31 p.m.: RadarOnline is reporting that she met with a divorce attorney before flying out of Florida.]

Still, her friends say she's done.

"She's so far beyond hurt now," the source continues. "If she were angry or if she hated him, they might still have a chance to work it out. But she's beyond that. She's numb. She just doesn't care anymore. She's like, 'Whatever.' Elin's not the type to get all weepy or have pity parties for herself. She mourned the loss of this marriage, and now she's moving on. It's the only thing she can do."

FINALLY!!!! now get everything darling!

I think that Elin Nordegren never intended to stay with Tiger Woods after his savage betrayal. Elin agreed to put the divorce on hold for six months so Tiger could get rehab and resume his career. Tiger knew this, but he had hoped Elin would change her mind. The six months are almost up and Elin will be getting the divorce soon. I wish Elin and her precious children the best.

She's right to divorce him. It will leave him free opportunity to cavort with all his little hussies.

Tiger Woods is a complete creep and I'd be thrilled if he never won another golf tournament again, but to say that his 4th place finish in the Masters was disappointing is crazy. A lot of golf people didn't think he'd make the cut and the fact that he hadn't played in another tournament in months and had so much going on in his personal life, a fourth place finish was amazing.

Tiger Woods is clearly a spoiled, narcissistic jerk, but he is an amazing golfer.

ummmm Elin, I'm avaliable, an believe me gorgous woman, I would never ever cheat on you. Best of luck to ya.

Tiger Woods is and always has been nothing but a complete low life. I was hoping he would have fallen in a lake at the masters and an aligator had eaten him.

hey u all haters!
Ye that hath not sin cast the first stone.....
you are just crucifying this man for what he has remorsefully apologized for. Most if not all of you are big time cheaters and what separates you from Tiger is you havent been caught, so quit playing the mr/ms/mrs perfect your days are numbered too..ni wewe hapo nakuona, jinga hii

Why is it that Tiger Woods only is involved in interracial relationships? I find it a little odd that the only woman of color in his life is his mother........

Close? Who in the world would even consider staying with a spouse that cheated with more than a dozen different people...One time MAYBE you can work your way through it and rebuild the lost trust, but as many times as he did, no way...

Take your beautiful self elsewhere Elin, you deserve much better!

Tiger is no creep, or anything else you may want to call him. Golf is his job, not his hobby, so let him work, he has endorsements he has to fulfill his contracts on, and this is because he has a family yo support, not to mention the millions of people who benefit from watching him play, and from his organizations, as they help young people achieve their dreams. He is still an inspiration, despite you people who would love to see him fail. there are those of us out their whose lives he touched, who want nothing more than to see him and Elin work things out to the best agreement possible. She can go or she can stay, my guess, she will stay, but will divorce him, on mutual terms. tiger is not looking for a woman or a wife, he just wnats someone to understand him, that he's made his mistakes and that he alone is accountable for them. He does not need hussies, he is capable of fiding a good loving woman, out there despite his past trials. Just leave him and her alone and respect their privacy and quit hating him,my hatred is boiling for people who are like youand disrespect their families wishes for privacy, gossip is fun to read, and its fun toake comments about someone but, the comments hurt, and they are really hurting Elin. Quit rubbing salt into the wound! If she goes to Sweden, than she does, its beautiful there, and her family is there, I would go home too. I just would let Tiger see his kids anytime!
