Every time we see one of those census commercials on TV -- there are in fact 33 variations -- we wonder, who in the world doesn’t know about the census?

Thank you, Chris Brown, for clearing that up for us.

Brown, who headlined a 2010 census awareness rally that drew about 200 people Monday at Virginia Union University in Richmond, Va., admitted in interviews with local media that he had been unaware of the census originally, before he got a ‘full briefing.’ Did the R&B star, who turns 21 next month, perhaps have the same teen-singer tutor who let Justin Bieber turn 16 without learning the phrase ‘under wraps’?

Still, good on Brown, we suppose, for trying to be an upstanding citizen, and doing it just an hour away from his hometown of Tappahannock, Va., a tiny burg encompassing a mere 2.7 square miles and, in 2000, laying claim to 857 occupied housing units.
