Bret Michaels in critical condition after brain hemorrhage
Less than 10 days after an emergency appendectomy, Bret Michaels is hospitalized in critical condition due to a brain hemorrhage, People reports.
The rocker and "Celebrity Apprentice" contestant, who is also diabetic, was rushed to a hospital Thursday night with a severe headache. According to People's source, doctors are still trying to determine the cause of the hemorrhage.
He had an appendectomy in the wee hours of April 12 after first thinking he was suffering a bad bout of flu.
On his blog Wednesday, Michaels described what it felt like to have his appendix rupture, called the surgery a "wake-up call" and discussed how alcohol consumption is different for diabetics.
"I need to find something healthier to do on my day off then going out and finding a club to go hang out at," he wrote. "It’s part of finding balance in my life."

It would be tragic to see such a relatively young man succumb to such a horrible end. God speed towards a speedy recovery.

There are just so many things wrong with this story. It's like a never-ending episode of Rock Of Love.

I'll bet its because he was conked on the head by that heavy curtain last year. Hemorrhages often take a while to develop.

Don't blame this on diabetes. Blame this on his lifestyle. I have a diabetic 17 year old (diagnosed at 18 momths) and if you treat your body with respect you can have a long and happy life without complications from diabetes. If you're going to put out a statement, know your facts first.

Those of you with vascular problems (such as migraines, diabetes, etc): consider taking butterbur (herb). Amazing stuff - can help prevent this sort of thing by improving vascular health. Google it.
Best wishes to Brett.

I would almost bet these people who have posted stupid, sarcastic remarks here are young, wet behind the ears, and still don't have a clue about life yet. To me it could not be more apparent and obvious in the comments I have read here. Bret has more brains apparently than most of you, he is the one making the money and has magazines and news outlets reporting on HIM not YOU!! You people here literally make me sick at my stomach with your stupid, childish remarks. Furthermore, if you people had a clue you would know ROCK IMAGES SELL, AND SELL, AND SELL!! It's an image, seriously do you think someone in as good of shape as Bret is not taking care of themselves at 47, if you do that's why your not making the money he is!! So, not only are your remarks stupid, so are you!! Praying for your recovery Bret, hang in there!!

Damn.
Why all the hate for Bret?

gee,I wonder if drugs, booze and women have anything to do with bad health,,kinda like not putting gasoline in a car engine and expect it to run..mabye he hangs out with slash who admits to using heroin,,what roll models,,he talks about this is a wakeup call for health but after abusing his body his entire life, he will be lucky to even wake up

My prayers and my wife's too. We were never Posion fans, back in our day preferring sopfter rock, but always since Nashville 2005, big fans of Bret. Class act, good guy, not all tat's and hipe and we came to really appreciate him as an artist and a genunine guy, we turned big fans and loved seeing him be honest and loyal on Apprenctice. We saw a side of him we liked, and even admired, we all age and get wiser, he did too, and we're so sad something like this happened to someone who genuinely is a great guy. Our support and our prayers to THE higher power for Bret's recovery. Peace and prayers. Mike and Gina.
