Well, isn’t this interesting. You know the sex tape featuring Mindy McCready that we were talking about Monday? Seems McCready’s not exactly on board with its release, according to her attorney, who is threatening legal action to keep ‘Baseball Mistress’ under wraps.

‘We are not aware of the production or release of the alleged film that seems to have surfaced via various media reports,” attorney Adam Dread said in a statement, Fox411 reports. He continued, saying they’d fight the release of any illegally obtained footage.

‘I’m Still Here,’ McCready’s first album in years, was released a week ago.

Steven Hirsch of Vivid Entertainment, the tape’s distributor, told Fox411’s Pop Tarts that he was confident about his company’s legal standing regarding acquisition of the footage.

Dread and McCready might be a little late to close that barn door. Vivid already has a teaser trailer posted online -- with most of the ‘teasing’ related to what Mindy might have to say about the sexual equipment or ability of various celebs (you’re not alone, Roger Clemens).

That’s right, sports fans, we’re proud to be the Ministry of Gossip -- watching this stuff on the job, so you don’t have to.

Sigh.
