Lindsay Lohan vents to mom Dina over E-Trade lawsuit, announces she's out at Ungaro

Lindsay lohan etradeLindsay Lohan's lawyers can send plenty a barking letter, but that doesn't mean the actress doesn't take her alleged E-Trade offense personally.

"She said, 'Mommy, help me. This is wrong. How can they do this?'" Dina Lohan told the New York Post.

The "Mean Girls" star filed a $100-million lawsuit this week, claiming the online trading company hit too close to home in its Super Bowl commercial -- featuring a "milk-a-holic" baby named Lindsay. Lohan's lawyers take the position that the name is synonymous with the star. Dina agrees.

"Everyone knows Lindsay, like Cher or Madonna," she told the Post.

The 23-year-old actress is seeking a nine-figure sum in damages, as well as an injunction to stop the ad.

Elsewhere in Lindsay Land, it seems her time as "artistic advisor" for fashion house Ungaro has come to an end. In Paris for Fashion Week, but conspicuously absent from the Ungaro show, Lohan told WWD that "I' don't work for them anymore."

She also said that "there’s legal things going on; I can’t really discuss it."

Reps for Lohan could not be reached.

From what I have heard, a parody on an individual, no matter how unkind, is legal.

Nice try, Lins, but since you are not a viable employee, or talented, why not get money some other way.

I hope it is tossed out of court and NO settlement. Unless she can prove that it was based on her - documented as well as verbally - not insinuated - then otherwise she has no case. Yes, she needs the money because hollywierd has turned its back on her, but then she burned her acting possible bridges herself. Such opportunities for her and it went up her nose, down her gullet and in her veins. Too bad, so sad, now go away.

Sue is correct -
Even if they MEANT to lampoon Ms. Lohan,
parodies are protected by law.

No matter how much this manufactured outrage "hurt" her bloated ego, many have forgotten who Lohan is. We are only reminded when she puts herself in the gossip pages.

Further, Lindsay hasn't performed in 2 years.

The Lindsay most people think of with one first name lately is Lindsay Vonn-
You know, The Gold medalist?

I CANNOT WAIT for this spoiled, untalented brat to be put in her place when this is dismissed.

I hope she winds up having to pay E-trade's attorney fees. Anyone who behaves as Lohan has publicly deserves to be ridiculed publicly. IMO the ad isn't about her anyway. I didn't think of Lohan at all until she filed her frivolous lawsuit.

Lindsay, what you really need to do is stay out of nightclubs and off of drugs, and get back to work as a successful actress. That will take away the jokes and the parodies. Think Robert Downey Jr. and the other actors who've had similar trouble as you and have made it out. Suing people for making a joke of your life is funny because you're life is a joke right now. If you don't see it, you needs to get rid of the syncophants in your entourage.

what? no way.. she would not make a hair on madonna or chers arse... hahahah.. do they really think she is that popular? geez.. get a grip.. its opportunism ala palin style at best

This action isn't consistent with how Lindsay responded to the commercial. She was surprised but joked about it on Twitter. The law suit isn't being filed by Lindsay's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley but Michael's attorney, Stephanie Ovadia. This immediately signals something very wrong. The two attorneys would be adversaries in any potential legal action of Lindsay vs. her dad Michael so why would Lindsay be represented by her father's attorney? Why is Lindsay's residence being listed as being in NYC when she is a California resident? Why is Dina talking about this and Lindsay saying nothing? I think the origin of this law suit is the one talking, Dina, who stated she had to take a stand. The law suit is in Lindsay's name but this feels to have her mom's footprints all over it. I don't this one was LIndsay's idea.
