You know how yesterday we were imagining what Lil Wayne might get done in New York overnight after a fire at the courthouse delayed his sentencing? Turns out he did himself proud, showing up onstage at Jay-Z‘s Madison Square Garden concert Tuesday night for a cameo with Lil Jeezy, who’s also part of the tour.

According to MTV, the crowd went wild.

Turns out the artist, whose real name is Dwayne Carter Jr., will have more than one night as a free man, however -- the sentencing has been delayed until March 9, TMZ reports.

He faces an expected year at Riker’s Island stemming from a weapons possession charge to which he pleaded guilty.
