Red carpet: Kristen Stewart -- now you see her, now you don't

Kstew "Twilight" buds Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner adopted similar strategies, though not at the same time, when heading down the tail end of the Oscars red carpet Sunday. Both put the pedal to the metal and got where they needed to go -- which was inside to prep for their award presentation.

As we said on Twitter, "OK, if they coulda had Taylor Lautner sprint past us, I bet he woulda. Crowd hinders sprinting, however."

But as fast as Taylor went? Kristen woulda been him in a dead heat -- just check out the video. Hey, she's probably trained a lot running from folks asking her the same question over and over and over again.

At least she flashed a cute smile and wave along the way.

Kristen Stewart was a horrible presenter! She was clearly uncomfortable in her dress, has a cough or a cold, and seemed completely uninterested in what she was doing. Really, aren't there any actual stars who could have performed this job with enthusiasm (someone actually noteworthy)?

I actually think that Kristen was a nervous. I know that she was very excited about being at the Academy awards. She looked beautiful and she smiled on the red carpet. I think that she didn't do interviews because she was trying to save her voice. She really didn't have to present an award, just introduce a tribute to the horror films. She didn't seem uninterested at all. How about giving kudos that in spite of being ill, she went out there and did her job. Also who ever designed the set, didn't take into consideration that all of the actressws had to wear heels. Kristen didn't appear as nervous walking down the stairs as Carey Mulligan and Zoe Zaldana did. They were holding onto each other for dear life.

Kristin Stewart is totally not star worthy, to me she has no grace or charm. She seems like one of us, an average person. She doesn't even know how to present an award properly.

She did look uncomfortable but she is someone of note-just check out the vote on who was the best dressed! This is not the image she generally presents to her public but I thought she looked beautiful. She is more comfortable in jeans and t-shirts but she does need to up her image for glamorous events and she did! She'll be 20 next month so she is still a teenager as of tonight!!

She is the Best Dressed of the night. She is so beautiful and stunning and definitely gorgeous..!!! I like it how she presents herself, showing that she is indeed human and real. I myself, would be so nervous if I were on that stage. And Kudos to Kristen for doing a great job. And I am totally proud of her. .

I THINK KRISTEN LOOKED BEAUTIFUL LAST NIGHT & SHE DID A GREAT JOB FOR BEING A LITTLE NERVOUS.LOVE YOU KRISTEN YOUR THE BEST :-)

I think that the blond woman that was with her prevented her from doing any interviews. Someone called out her name and she started to walk towards them and was pulled away. So she just smiled, shrugged her shoulders and waved as she was being directed away.

Kristen does need a lot of work on her presentation skills. Yikes! When you compare her performance with Anna Kendrick's and Taylor Lautner's it's obvious that they are far ahead of her. Also, there's a quote from her listed elsewhere....."Me and Taylor are presenting".....that's probably why the Summit media relations woman wouldn't let her talk. If she graduated from high school, she needs to return for some remedial instruction!

Yes she was nervous at presenting & yes she doesn't normally wear a dress (we already know this) but i think she was having a good time..for her & she looked fantastic.
This is the best i have seen her .... her dress was great..a great fit and she wore it well. The color complimented her skin as well. Compared to some of the other dresses it worked. Some didn't- Sarah Jessica Parker i'm looking at you!

Kristen´s dress is so STUNNING i dont know what i loved more if the dress or the color! I like her skin! must be a pain to take care of such a perfect skin. And i think she was nervious and carey and Milliey were too scared of the stairs as well! Who wouldnt!? i would like to see the shoes

Kristen looked amazing and it was her first time there so of course she was nervous, shows she is human unlike these other actresses good job Kristen and good luck on everything.

I don't care what people have to say about stars...we are the ones that demerit their status so lets just wish them well and get on with our lives...About Kristen Stewart, she's cute and respectful so what else do you want from her. Let's just let her live her personal life.

She was no worse than than awful Miley Cyrus......

I think Kristen is a very pretty girl and is somewhat talented. I just think the twilight thing has over hyped her a little. I'm sure in time she will grow into a really great actress, but right now she seems too "new" to acting. People are always saying she is such a great actress so of course I was interested in seeing her work. It seems that she only knows how to do brooding and moody roles. She acts exactly the same in every role I've seen of her, which isn't much different from her personality I've witnessed in interviews and such. The twilight movie was more entertaining to make fun of than to watch ( and I'm a BIG fan of the books!!) the acting was horrendous! Oh well, she is very young, you can't expect her to be the best.
