Kellan Lutz cast as Poseidon in 'War of the Gods': Shirtless guarantee!

Thank the gods that "Twilight" star Kellan Lutz has just been cast as Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea -- who clearly has no need for a shirt -- in a new action film costarring Mickey Rourke, Henry Cavill and "Slumdog Millionaire" actress Freida Pinto. 

Titled "War of the Gods" (do we understand yet that the film is about gods?), the story will follow Theseus (Cavill), who is led into battle with a bunch of -- Greek gods.

Lutz is poised to release the update of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" on April 30, with Jackie Earle Haley. He'll also appear in the forthcoming crime drama "Meskada." 

Oh, and he'll release an art-house indie called "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" on June 30, costarring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. 

The first quarter of 2010 has been kind to Lutz, also seeing the release of his Calvin Klein underwear campaign.
